I’ve heard it irl. Next to a large water pumping station. It is the occasional grind of a stone against the propeller I think.

I can hear the creak of the metal on the boat.
- Comment on Price of electricity in Finland peaks at 2.35€/kWh today. Keeping my tiny granny cottage warm costs me over 50 euros for a single day. It's negative 25C (77F) outside. 10 months ago:
Diesel heater set up properly maybe the way, just not sure how well it would work kept outdoors at those temperatures.
- Comment on How is it possible that a laptop can read a CD flawlessly, but every other device I've tried the CD on skips at certain parts? 10 months ago:
Yes bad cd, just the laptop cd drive can read with greater error checking (parity?) to achieve skip free playing.
It’s scary how much is clipped away from music with compression and poor playback equipment. Sometimes the right setup really changes the song.

Cd drives in computers are more technical than standard stereo players due to their nature of writing to cds. Think higher quality, more accurate equipment.

That’s a significant insight. It’s only once you’ve been in a car with someone driving that you really become aware of how “awake”(?) They are. Observance and prediction seem to come with higher intelligence, and some people do not have it.

Their comments jump all over the place. Their partner hates it, they have a self-driving car etc. Completely rationalising driving tired and proud of it. Worst kind of driver.

It’s called pulling up the ladder and more people in all walks of life are guilty of it than you think. Few want to admit they were helped and would rather you believe they pulled themselves up.

If you need religion to teach you peace or love then you are truly lost.
- Comment on [What if scenario] What if all commercial institutions suddenly decided they no longer intend to acknowledge religious events such as Christmas? 1 year ago:
I always considered it the mid-winter celebration. A time to break into some of the stored food (sugar-preserved fruit anyone?). Basically a way to raise the spirits since autumn harvest was long gone and it felt a long way til spring.

Do songs ever get stuck I your head? Did you ever go to gigs when you were younger? What’s your families relationship ship with music like?
