I’m not sure how the game engine can incorporate such fine detailed mechanics. It almost seems like it’ll have to be reworked from the ground up, with only the assets being maintained.

I mean half life alyx’s entire mechanics revolve around VR controls.

Oh yeah her and I put in over 100 hours into it. It was scary watching her play because I let her have her own save and she was like on year 4 with nothing done because she refused to leave the house when it rained. And didn’t know how to water crops so she just explored. Oh how much I forget how knowing nothing of how games are supposed to be played leads to just mindless wandering lol

Ok I get the Microsoft hate… I’m trying to introduce my daughter to Minecraft because it’s a great game to just explore adventure and creativity. I own like 5 accounts all of them were username and password, and all of them paid for. But since they didn’t have an email address I couldn’t find most of them? I managed to get one back and it required the worst Microsoft account log in experience. When I finally managed to get into the game and be able to play it there was no way for me to do split screen.
How the hell is there no native split screen. The console versions have it. I had to spend hours finding mods and have to open 3 different programs just to get the game to open and play split screen by running 2 different Minecraft screens, and even then half the time it doesn’t even work.
It turned me off so bad I said eff it and found some platform games for my daughter and I to play. Of which there are few, apparently Nintendo owns the best ones, Sony with their astrobots. I was left with some hat in time game which wasn’t bad. But it definitely left a lot to desire.
I guess I’ll have to check out it takes two

I don’t get it. I got Minecraft when it was still beta, then played it with friends and fam when aether mods were a thing, that was like 6 to 8 years ago? What has changed about Minecraft that Libre is something that needs to exist?

I don’t think any country in the world has been in the position America is in. Similar sure, but not the bastion of wealth and power, with a stubborn population. There would be a civil war before they remove democracy. It’s more likely that elections will be a front to the fascist seats of power. The elections aren’t going away. What they mean is a different story.
- Comment on Realistically... How fucked is the US? 1 week ago:
You can argue American elections have meant nothing either.
- Comment on Realistically... How fucked is the US? 1 week ago:
Yes. Yes there will be. Even if everyone who voted for Trump is OK with it if you think the rest of America is just going to be ok with dismantling elections you’re being irrational.

I keep my own bees for honey and I have chickens for my eggs. I’m trying to cut off the industry from my life. Not that I’m vegan, the industry tends to remove a lot more from the end result than just the humanity.
- Comment on Honey 4 weeks ago:
I mean anything commercial comes out to be pretty inhumane. They cut off the queens bees wings in commercial honey harvesting.
I guess bees aren’t as animal as chickens are?
- Comment on Honey 4 weeks ago:
Bees produce honey. Chickens produce eggs. Can’t eat eggs. Can’t eat honey.
Idk I’m not a vegan either.

We’re on a forum my friend, there is no spirit here. I’ve made 2 small remarks and you somehow got me and my intent all figured out. Maybe everyone on the planet has heard at the very least the existence of the message. There is no room here to have any form of discussion on what that message can mean. But people are finding God, as adults, the way you’ve said, through intimate dialog and love.
I meant no disrespect. I merely said there’s a cost no matter how you choose, or how life has been laid out before you, and to be at peace is a simple remark for your sarcasm. English is my second language. If this offended you, I apologize. This is lemmy. Hardly a platform to have any meaningful discussion on relationships with a God or religion. Or politics.
- Comment on Cheeky 5 weeks ago:
It doesn’t seem you believe in much. Be at peace with your natural choices. There will always be a cost

Reddit was full of bots but the people are just savvy enough to make an account. Lemmy’s users are not a general representation of the public, but more of the technical kind. You can probably describe most users just by the most popular posts and interactions here. So…
Male Atheist Liberal In their late 20s but majority in their 30s, with a large amount of trekkies in their 40s for some reason. Pc technical, can use a pc well enough to understand above the basic concepts of the best buy laptop the general public use. Too involved in the world affairs causing rigid pessism of most people who don’t share their views. If you don’t think like us you’re one of “them”.
Oh and anonymous keyboard warriors. Everyone can be a “professional” on a subject if they can dissect a comment someone made and Google any relevant information to refute their arguments. It’s pretty much this that makes them ruder.

I’ve seen the more sexual tense awkward cut scenes and theories, but watching Leon I never attributed it more than “a young girl going through puberty forced to age quickly, see her family killed, find a confidant and established a bond she’s confusing her attachment with.” in the movie I watched Leon nips that sexual relationship thread in the bud. I’ve seen the alternatives where he does allow it but I thought that was just disturbed fan theories.

But that also doesn’t translate. If the moment the photon is created (from whatever reaction that caused the light source), to the moment it hit the person’s eyes had no time pass (nothing in the universe moved) then it would be instantly created and observed by the observer. But the moment the switch turns on and the moment the photon hits the observer (as miniscule as this distance is) the eye of the observer has moved from A: switch goes on to B: observed.
Yeah no time passes for the photon I guess, but the universe still moved around the photons travel.
