  okay… again, i’m earnestly asking why he’s awful, I’m not up in arms for him. and again i don’t know him well, so i don’t know what you’re referring to when you say at the expense of others, please share. all i know is he’s trying different things to prolong life and sharing what happens to him.

  why is he awful? genuine question. i’d only heard a bit before and came away from it with the impression that he was kind of an obsessed weirdo, but that ultimately being that guinea pig could (maybe) be beneficial and it wasn’t just like, to sell shit. and that his son seemed on board as opposed to coerced

  not exactly, we say fruiting bodies to be easier to describe, but you can’t botanically be a fruit without being a plant. plus spores aren’t seeds. fungi are more closely related to us than fruit!

  i wonder if any distinction was made that long ago too though, or if mushrooms would’ve been included in the original context 🤔

  seems pretty pedantic. the context is monitors, and it’s lag from what’s inputted to what you see. plus especially with TVs, input lag is almost always because of response times.

  the different grabs are good to know. there’s charge attacks and stuff too, they’re a little less important in tekken though. most characters use a similar set for getting those first couple hits in, then string that into the special moves in combos. youtube vids help a lot

  hmm, i feel like Law, Feng and Asuka are some good ones to learn with. also general advice, basic but keep your eyes on the other player, focus on reacting instead of preemptively doing moves

  consider trying other games too. i’ve always been pretty bad at street fighter and mortal kombat, then i tried tekken and it clicked for me a lot better

  can’t even pick a decent black hairstyle in the character creators. 90% only have a fro, 9% that weird comb over dread style bc it was in black panther, even tho i’ve never seen a real person wear it
