Man, I might find this impossible to watch for the same reason I can’t really watch pandemic related media since covid. It’ll give me too much anxiety because at this point it could become very real.

I think it often comes down to learning styles. It really sucks because there is no one size fits all. I think most “trainings” would actually be better served as a long email that I can also reference later as needed, but I also struggle to focus in meeting and such. Other people are better at focusing in the moment and would never read a long email in the first place.

Exactly. It was on games pass and it was still the most profitable release Bethesda has ever had. Why put in real effort when you don’t have to?

Risa has gotten weird lately. I don’t find the meme as funny anymore. A lot of them just seem like the ‘oh so random’ humor that was funny when I was in middle school.

Concrete and steel are really important but construction workers don’t tend to rant about it off the clock.

I mean, go to any tech related post and every thread quickly becomes about Linux regardless of what it was about.

How do you know someone is a Linux user?
They’ll fucking tell you.

One bad person in a system of millions is a bad person, not a failed system. Lol. There are bad people in every profession. Do we get rid of schools because some teachers molest kills? We certainly haven’t gotten rid of cops after all that bullshit lol. You can’t pick and choose, dude. Bad people are bad people and systems certainly need changing, but you are crying major fucking wolf here.

ON PAPER They have a duty of care. In real life all they give a shit about is you not dying in front of them. If you’re lucky. Sounds like you are. Maybe in your happy little corner of the fucking world it’s all morphine and triage, but here DOCTORS in the emergency room will only do enough to keep you from dying in front of them. You’ll have a stroke and they won’t do any follow up care and you’ll have another one two weeks later and you’re dead, because the doctors wouldn’t let you make an appointment in time.
Also they’ll cut off your fucking leg because it’s cheaper than reconstruction, and not just because reconstruction is impossible le.

Not on paper, but they absolutely fucking will in person. They’ll tell you your fine, they’ll tell you the wrong thing, and then they put off your appointments and then your dead.
- Comment on Spider silk is spun by silkworms for the first time, offering a green alternative to synthetic fibers 1 year ago:
What would large-scale production look like? Consumer clothing? Could we get $20 silk shirts eventually? I think most the reason plastic fibers are so prevalent is because their cheap. People would definitely flock to nicer feeling clothing if it was the same price.
