Name five recent foreign films we should “try”, and explain your reasoning for each.
Is there a word for weebs but instead of Asian culture they’re obsessed with acting like a shitheel bolshevik? If there isn’t one already, it should be your stupid name.

My movies? What?
I’m not upset about anything. I’m simply pointing out that the assertion that all movies today are dogshit shows you are either ignorant to all the quality movies being produced and the history of cinema in general, or your expectations are ludicrously high. In either case, you’re contribution to the discussion is worthless. Or, to put it in your terms: your words are dogshit.
There have always been shitty movies. That’s not to say that there have ONLY been shitty movies.
There are good movies being produced, and with the entirety of human culture at your fingertips, if all you are seeing is dogshit that’s entirely your fault.

Don’t confuse your uninformed opinion with reality.

I used to work for a guy who inherited the family company. He used every single loop hole and dirty trick to pay his employees as little as possible, no benefits or insurance… Nothing.
He found out I was turning 40. His advice to me was “a man’s age should never be a higher number than the footage of his boat”.
He didn’t understand that I don’t own a boat, didn’t own a house, didn’t even own my car.
- Comment on Have you ever felt a imaginary switch click that changed the trajectory of your life? 1 year ago:
Back in late 2000, my girlfriend and I broke up. She moved out of our apartment and back to her hometown. I was feeling kinda down and one of my friends invited me to a rave the next night. I didn’t really have any interest, it never seemed like my kind of scene. But I didn’t have anything else going on, so I went with him. He ended up buying ecstasy, which I had never done before either.
That’s literally the night that changed the entire trajectory of my life. I spent the next decade traveling all over America, going to parties, hanging out with people I met on a message board. I ended up shacking up with a girl I met on the board for a few years. I made friends that I still have today.
My 20’s were a blur of parties and substances, but I can trace a direct line from what happened that night to where I am today.

The Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep was a great continuation of the main storyline as well.

Your last sentence supports my point though. I’m not suggesting that there’s a shortage of good teachers, just stating the fact that it’s difficult to find and retain good teachers.
I come from a family full of teachers and educators and even a superintendent. I’ve witnessed firsthand how public education can chew up and spit out even the most dedicated teachers.

Your answer isn’t constructive, and your “next question” line is unnecessarily glib.
Finding good teachers is hard enough as It is.

If you’re talking about the children of teachers, they’re almost assuredly going to have the same days off.

- Comment on Invasion Season 2 general discussion question 1 year ago:
Season 1 was deep? In what way?
I watched it straight through when I was working from home and had nothing else to do for a few days. I watched it again just last month thinking maybe I missed something like first time.
I don’t think I did.
It was just as plodding and poorly written the second time around. Not only did I not care about any of the characters or their struggles, I actively disliked almost all of them by the end. They were an assortment of shitty television cliches acting out the most boring and uneventful alien invasion imaginable.
I don’t doubt that there’s probably a purpose to some of the more perplexing bits from last season, but I wasn’t pulled into last season enough to care.
All that said, I’m probably going to watch it anyway.

That’s what people who park like assholes tell themselves. It takes ten extra seconds to straighten out and park correctly.
The daycare I take my kids to, there are six regular spots in front of the building and two handicapped spots. There’s tons of parking on the side of the building, it’s just not as convenient.
Without fail, there are mothers who will absolutely park in the handicapped spots if the other spots in front are taken. Some of them will even park their massive SUV in BOTH handicapped spots. It blows my mind, the privilege these people display. They can park on the side of the building and walk an extra ten feet like s normal human being, but no… they are more important than anyone else.
I make sure to point out to my kids that those people are breaking the rules because they don’t want to deal with a very slight inconvenience.
- Comment on ‘Cocaine Bear’ Is Now Streaming Online for Free: Here’s Where to Watch the Cult Comedy Hit 1 year ago:
Ugh. It’s neither cult nor a hit.
Elizabeth Banks is a great comedic actor, but she’s a terrible director. This movie is absolute proof.
It was a big swing on her part, and she deserves credit for taking that swing, but it was just a mediocre movie.

It is faster to have 20 slaves in 20 different parts of the warehouse stuff 20 different envelopes than it is to have 1 single slave go to 20 different locations in a warehouse and stuff a box.
Their obligation is just to get the product from their facilities to your door. They don’t give a shit HOW it gets there.
