Wdf how are we just learning this?! Can’t they teach it with the continent names??
- Comment on Is there a name for the trope where a story is high fantasy at first glance, except for it's not fantasy and is actually set in a post-apocalypse dystopian future? 2 months ago:
Yup. I think there are a few more, on a re read rn and Great Hunt they go to a parallel world where there appear to be Jet contrails and large swatches of burned ground where absolutely nothing will grow - nuclear fallout?
I hadn’t heard of the AI bit before but it sort of makes sense. sAIdin and sAIdar? No?

Infinite is good now with the netcode having been re worked. It has a few poor maps and bad choices regarding forge and split screen. Ut actually playing the game is fun in most cases.
- Comment on what would happen if a rogue, earth-size planet ran straight into the sun? anything interesting? 4 months ago:
I knew my crap science would get the real scientists in the comments, good point about the density. It would just sort of harmlessly splat.
- Comment on what would happen if a rogue, earth-size planet ran straight into the sun? anything interesting? 4 months ago:
Fascinating. Lets say at 90% the planet spends 1 second inside the sun. Doesn’t seem like enough to melt the whole thing so it just keeps going, just a lot smaller. The core of the sun tried its best to push it back but gets pierced and the fusion reaction stops. Star killer??

That makes more sense actually. Well, either way it is good news for Linux, hopefully.

It works for me. I think you need to reinstall with latest proton ge and new wine prefix. I do remember it breaking for a while tho.

This is huge. I wonder if they saw poor sales for their previous windows devices and were like… well what if we put linux on it? I am tempted to preorder…
- Comment on What's your favorite game that you will NEVER finish? 11 months ago:
Most recently I found that the speed system has become meaningless in order to make it harder. Eg I found a mimic, which had 3 speed, playing an Elf, with 12 , in the old version you would get 4 turns before the mimic would be able to attack, but it hit me twice in 2 turns and instantly killed me. Then I have to google patch notes to find out why I died… Thanks dev team!

If you can try version 3.4.3 that was one of the last good ones imo. 3.6 has hard nerfs to so many ways to survive in that game, none of it fair imo. I ascended 3 times on the old version and can barely pass gnomish mines now, it is torture.

God the Vulkan Shaders processing is infuriating for Rocket League… it takes like 3 minutes to get to 90% and then 30 minutes for the last 10%… then you have to do it all over again next time!!! WTF??
