Please bring back Overwatch 1 the very next day.

Steamdeck 2 is all I need.
- Comment on Creators of Slay the Spire will migrate their next game to a new engine if Unity doesn't completely revert their changes 1 year ago:
Yeah, you’re right. I was thinking of it in terms of current project -> next project, but I see that’s not what was meant.
- Comment on Creators of Slay the Spire will migrate their next game to a new engine if Unity doesn't completely revert their changes 1 year ago:
I didn’t click through and was going based on the headline. My mistake.
- Comment on Creators of Slay the Spire will migrate their next game to a new engine if Unity doesn't completely revert their changes 1 year ago:
If Developers were in a relationship with Unity, it’d be the sort where Unity always comes home drunk and is verbally abusive, but they stick around with the belief that Unity will change.
- Comment on Creators of Slay the Spire will migrate their next game to a new engine if Unity doesn't completely revert their changes 1 year ago:
In this case it sounds like they were talking about their next game rather than a current project.
- Comment on Creators of Slay the Spire will migrate their next game to a new engine if Unity doesn't completely revert their changes 1 year ago:
Why stay at all whether they revert it or not? They’re egregiously incompetent and if they’ve done this sort of thing once, they’re going to do it again. Developers should go where their support will help make something better (Godot) and not stick with the crusty old Unity hag that is constantly pawing at their pockets hoping for the jingle of coins.
- Comment on Unity adding a fee for devs for each time a game is installed, after certain thresholds 1 year ago:
Just a reminder that if Unity developers with pro licenses coming to Godot contribute even a small fraction of what they might have paid for those licenses on Unity, Godot can develop even faster.
- Comment on Unity adding a fee for devs for each time a game is installed, after certain thresholds 1 year ago:
It already has. The Godot Developer Fund went up by $4,000 yesterday alone.

Godot.

There is a far greener country where such things are unheard of.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
Good insight. Washington was correct it seems.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
Yes and no. More than half the country is wanting to move in the direction of other modern nations. The trouble is we have the electoral college which was instituted as a compromise for slave holding states at the foundation of our country and which gives conservatives outsized power which has resulted in a long-term deadlock.
It’s likely that as demographics shift over the next decade, this deadlock will be broken and we’ll probably enter a period of rapid progress, but that’s only if we make it that long. With the degree to which Republicans are either brainwashed or willfully ignoring reality for the sake of trying to gain power, it remains to be seen whether we can.

Just out of curiosity, where’s emulation at with the x360 these days?
- Comment on OK Boomer Shooter: How indie games breathed new life into a dying genre 1 year ago:
It’s like what someone who wasn’t even born when these games were made would think. Just say no to “boomer shooter”. Classic FPS is fine. Old School FPS is fine. Anything but “boomer shooter”.
- Comment on In 2023, console video game players will spend $21B on in-game items and subscriptions, as "live service games" make the market more akin to mobile 1 year ago:
I hate this. I hate this so much. Mobile games are mostly crap because of these business practices and now it’s taking over PC and consoles too.

- Comment on Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya thinks Japanese devs should be proud of 'JRPG' 1 year ago:
I love JRPGS. Not every game has to be open-world and often they’re worse for it because they have no focus and rely on you doing a handful of repetitive tasks.
- Comment on Do you feel this place has gotten more.. reddit-y lately? 1 year ago:
It does feel that way a bit, but it’s important to keep pushing for a positive experience here. If any given instance becomes too toxic, we always have the option to move and de-federate. It’s nice for that to be a possibility.
- Comment on How much did photography "stole" painter jobs ? 1 year ago:
I read an article on PC Gamer just the other week where one of the prominent D&D artists said AI was already impacting his work. And not just in the usual way of stealing away jobs, but also, by damaging their artistic reputation by people generating ai artworks in their style, and people not knowing what was or wasn’t actually his.

I take it you’re not an artist? That’s not how or why you do studies.
- Comment on All Games Confirmed To Be Using Unreal Engine 5 So Far 1 year ago:
It is great for 2D. The 3D is definitely getting there, but it’s not on the same level as Unreal or Unity yet. I think within a year or two, It should catch up to Unity at least though. We’re super pleased with it.

Our studio uses Godot. It’s fantastic and open source.

I’ve really enjoyed my RG35XX. In fact I’ve played more retro games on there in a few months than I managed to with emulation/Virtual console over the last decade.
