That is helpful, thank you. Something I had thought to look into was a battery powered, heated mirror for exactly that reason.

- Comment on "GODZILLA MINUS ONE" will be getting a U.S. 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray release in September 2024. 3 months ago:
I haven’t bought a single disc this year but I’ll probably pick this up.
- Comment on I Just wanted to close the valve... 4 months ago:
Yeah, I’ve done plenty with it before. I’m planning to re-engineer this whole setup so I can unscrew the valves in the future for easy replacement.
- Comment on I Just wanted to close the valve... 4 months ago:
That is certainly the next step.
- Comment on I Just wanted to close the valve... 4 months ago:
That’s an idea but I don’t currently have a 3d printer and maker spaces don’t exist where I live. That and the torque I put on this valve to get it where it currently sits would break any 3d printed plastic part I’ve come across.
- Comment on I Just wanted to close the valve... 4 months ago:
More than likely there is something in the pipe. I’m going to have to cut it open to investigate and replace the valve. I am 100% turning it the right way as there are stops built in that prevent incorrect rotation. The next iteration will have valves that can unscrew.

My son snapped one of the ears off a few days ago and I thought I could be more successful but alas I was not.

Let’s get lab grown meat going so we can free up all that cattle land in the middle of the country, build some well planned cities with high speed rail connecting them and spread out a bit.
- Comment on Why Toyota Is Intentionally "Falling Behind" On EVs | Morning Brew (10:10) 5 months ago:
Personally I think hybrids are the way forward, you don’t really have range anxiety when the generator is built in. I really want to get my hands on one of those Edison motors kits and drop it into a late 60s chevy or mid 90s ford.

- Comment on The other new arrival: a Christy razor 5 months ago:
Thank you, I didn’t catch that. That’s too bad because otherwise it’s a neat design and would be interesting to try out.
- Comment on The other new arrival: a Christy razor 5 months ago:
I see the shape of the blades are specific to the handle but will a standard safety razor blade fit or is this wildly different?
- Comment on Would you like some new flavours? 6 months ago:
I’d try it. Sounds better than ketchup.
- Comment on How Much Would You Pay to Make Sure You Never Sawed Off a Finger? 7 months ago:
If it was a few hundred, sure but SawStops start at $1,000 for a jobsite style table saw which is more than I paid for my big cast iron saw. If I could retrofit that saw that would be great but I don’t see the need to replace it with a unit several times the price on a slim possibility of an accident.

That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. To this day whenever my 65yo mom does dishes she quotes the original film in her best stoner voice “The dishes are done, man.”

- Comment on GTA 6’s Publisher Says Video Games Should Theoretically Be Priced At Dollars Per Hour 11 months ago:
He can still go fuck himself. I was promised single player DLC and instead they put their entire focus on GTA online which I’m sure will continue with 6. I’ll probably pirate it because, as much as I hate to admit it I’m still a fan, but I’m not giving them another cent.
- Comment on I asked Microsoft's image creator to create "Godzilla in a 512k Mac game" and while this is not what I asked for, I can't help but be impressed. 1 year ago:
I was just kidding, I think the 512k came out 4ish years before the classic.
