- Comment on AMC to Slash Movie Ticket Prices by 50% on Wednesdays 1 day ago:
Plenty of other theaters in the US do discount days, AMC is just catching up now but probably too late.
- Comment on AMC Theatres Quarterly Losses Hit $202.1 Million After Box Office Got Off to Rocky Start 5 days ago:
Plenty of theaters have discount days. $7 Tuesdays for example. Don’t think AMC does it but could by why they’re seeing issues
- Comment on Trump says Hollywood 'dying' orders 100% tariff on non-US movies to save it 6 days ago:
Taxes on the TCP packets when streaming companies get the rights and add it to their libraries.
- Comment on You Too Can Come to the Theater to Watch 70 Minutes of Just Movie Trailers 3 weeks ago:
Seems an interesting idea for those who want to go. I don’t really know why anyone would but seems an okay alternative to going to cinemacon
- Comment on Hollywood Is Cranking Out Original Movies. Audiences Aren’t Showing Up. 4 weeks ago:
You’re right they should just give up and stick with marvel #37
- Comment on AMC Entertainment To Add 40 More Dolby Cinema Auditoriums In U.S. By 2027 1 month ago:
This is exciting, usually choose the PDX or Dolby auditorium near me when I can. Also the higher ticket price should price should reduce the amount of people who don’t care about the movie going and being a distraction
- Comment on Ubi, it's $70 and people are vary of your mile wide puddles that drop 75% in price after half a year 1 month ago:

You’ve been missing out then, horror movies have been having a renaissance in the last couple years with new directors, actors and plenty of new well done stories coming out. Even great low budget and some with high studio budgets
- Comment on Moviegoers Want More Comedies, Thrillers and Action Titles, Global Cinema Study Finds 1 month ago:
Most theaters nowadays have discount days. $7 Tuesdays in several cities I’ve visited this year.
- Comment on Sony launches new version of the best cheap 4K Blu-ray player that drops the streaming tech – but the price looks odd 1 month ago:
My LG TV was similar and I had to go digging in the settings to mess with brightness, backlight and black detail. Anything that was dark on HDR was just black and I had to go in and up the black detail and brightness/contrast settings
- Comment on What’s the cheapest/easiest way to get a non-region locked Blu Ray player? 1 month ago:
I believe all 4K blu ray players are region free. I have a Samsung from 6 years ago and it plays 3 regions of 4k discs I have just fine. I want to upgrade to a Panasonic DPUB820K and that seems like it will be the same.
Though maybe it’s 4k blu rays aren’t region locked?

- Comment on What movies have you watched this week? 2 months ago:
I picked up on that, and I would say skipping the second one is fine but the original and Day One are really good
- Comment on What movies have you watched this week? 2 months ago:
You should check out Day One. I can’t remember anything from the second movie but Day One is a solid exploration of a different aspect of the universe.
- Comment on Explaining the curious case of Emilia Pérez, the controversy-hit Oscar frontrunner 3 months ago:
This is my final reminder to go stream I Watched the TV Glow, known of it for a long while but never came to theaters near me.
- Comment on M3GAN 2.0 | Official Teaser 3 months ago:
Was pretty funny when it played during the Grammy’s this evening. Is the first film held in high regard? I enjoy horror flicks and know nothing of these movies.
- Comment on Lady Gaga: 'Joker: Folie à Deux' 'Didn't Connect' with Audiences 3 months ago:
I thought the musical portions with like the game show in his head made sense as a realistic take on Joker who is insane and how he would view his odd relationship with this woman also in an insane asylum. The parts where he sang to her softly were weird IMO but maybe how he thought he could reconnect to her even though the former portions weren’t real.
- Comment on The Creator, Barbarian, The Banshees Of Inisherin and Amsterdam are all gone from Disney+ 3 months ago:
I was surprised to find to original physical release, really hoping shudder or arrowfilms gets a physical copy stat
- Comment on A full list of 2025 Oscar nominations 3 months ago:
I’m very surprised Dune part II was not in there for directing and having seen both I think it should be in there over Emilia Perez. I’m glad Emilia Perez exists and it’s up there for it’s message and those involved but it was just okay and nobody else I know even on forums like these even talks about it nor seem to have seen it.
- Comment on James Cameron on 'Avatar 3' Potentially Sparking Fan Backlash 3 months ago:
That actually is a new complaint I’ve yet to hear. And guess my only response is that I feel sorry you can’t get into the films because they are technical achievements and look and aged great in my eyes. The tech they use in these movies are the best in use to combat that and make sure things look as realistic as possible and it is the best that’s available for a non animated story taking place in a made up world.
- Comment on James Cameron on 'Avatar 3' Potentially Sparking Fan Backlash 3 months ago:
Hello, I greatly enjoyed both movies, got any other original thoughts to share? Got plenty of time until the third movie
- Comment on The future of Blu-ray is looking bleak (and that's a bad thing for everyone) 3 months ago:
I searched a few of the players it said are available for lower prices still and looks like Panasonic still has 4 models of 4K blu ray players available on their site right now. May have to snag one of those as I have a Samsung one from 9 years ago that could probably use an upgrade soon
- Comment on 2025 Golden Globes Winners 4 months ago:
Very glad to see Demi Moore winning for The Substance. That performance and movie in general was great and I’m sure shooting it wasn’t easy. Also glad to see conclave getting recognition as well though Anora not winning anything here is wild.
Also having watched it, who was the lead for Emilia Perez if Zoe Saldana was supporting? Must be Karla Sofia Gascon but from the marketing and posters and stuff would have thought it was Saldana.

- Comment on 'Strange Darling' distributor sues over box office underperformance 4 months ago:
Would make sense, I only heard of this movie scrolling recommendations on IMDB which I only do once a month. Didn’t see anything else about it and one podcast I subscribe to mentioned the movie for a minute so I made sure to try and catch it. Movie also wasn’t even at my local theater though I am in a small town.
- Comment on Funko gets community noted 4 months ago:
I understand all that, my comment was addressing it being mentioned that itch did nothing wrong which wasn’t true. The site themselves may not have purposefully knew of that content but it was there.
