I just beat evil West and cyberpunk 2077. I’ve been playing through death’s stranding and today I booted up Chernobylite and I’m having a great time.

Take it from an actual stagehand, it’s front of house irregardless of venue. I’m sure there are different names but if you work in the industry, that’s front of house.

I normally don’t like adventure games without combat but yuppie psycho is absolutely amazing. I love that game.

Yup, steam with a Ryzen 5600x and rx 6800xt. I’ve tried verifying the game files a couple times. I’ll give it another go in a bit. I’d love for there to be a change but I think I’m in that weird category that should work fine but it’s just borked. The game ran great otherwise. Just trying to load saves and on the one attempt that actually works if I try to enter Caledonia it’s an automatic I have to reboot my system.

They patched Skyrim, fallout 4 and 76. They are a big enough studio that I have no reason to believe they’d just release it and move on. I’m not talking about changing what the game is. I’m just talking about technical patches to do some bug fixing.

Yeah I bet everyone needed a break after they finally launched. Hopefully the r&r helps them come back fresh to knock some of these issues out.

That’s where I’m at. I’m excited to be able to play again but I have to wait for however long it takes them to release a patch addressing this. I’m not mad about anything I’ve seen. But I literally can’t play a game that I can’t trust to save and be reloaded.
- Comment on Open source community figures out problems with performance in Starfield 1 year ago:
Normally, I’d fully recommend that but I still want to play the game. I was actually really enjoying myself. I’ll just wait until they actually issue a patch. I’m a little shocked not even one hotfix has gone out.

I wonder if this has anything to do with not being able to load my saves. I went to mars and exited the game after a long gaming session. Came back the next day and I get a full system crash upon trying to load the exit save. Tried the autosaves, same deal. Tried my last normal save, same deal. Every once in about 5-6 full system crashes I can reload one of the saves from just landing on mars but if I try to enter caledonia then it’s a full system crash. It’s weird too, I can still here the game running in a loop but I can tell there is no input and the graphics fully fail. Very frustrating. I finally got back to my main rig to be able to play and the game has just been straight not playable since about the day after it came out. Can’t even get a hotfix from Bethesda. Bummer. I’ll just have to wait to play it again. I’m not going to restart a new character just to run into the same thing.

Darkest dungeon dungeon should be playable with only one hand available.

I’m excited. The demo ran well enough on steam deck that I know it’ll be great on my desktop.
- Comment on Plug and Play steamdeck! 1 year ago:
Well, it’s interesting. I’d try streaming to the steam deck while it’s in desktop mode and see if that fixes the display issue. Kinda cool that it holds a 800p resolution but I find it curious that it’s not full screen as opposed to the actual 800p but just in the corner.
- Comment on Plug and Play steamdeck! 1 year ago:
Did you try doing it while in desktop mode? Game mode defaults to the steam deck native resolution but that can be overriden with launch setting changes. Desktop mode will output to the display of the external monitor.
- Comment on [Humble Bundle] Resident Evil: Decades of Horror Bundle 1 year ago:
That’s an awesome bundle. I think all I’m missing on steam is just 0, 7 and 8. 0 regularly goes down to 5 or 10 and I’ve played through both 7 and 8 on PS5 but I’ll buy them again at some point. I don’t really have a favorite developer but Capcom leads by a huge margin of games I’ve bought, rebought and actually beaten, usually more than once by a large margin.

I’m always bopping around different games but this is one I usually always have installed so it’s good to hear that the update sounds like a big success. I’ve never tried it multiplayer but I bet it’s a hoot.

Barony is so so good. And it works really well on steam deck. Gamepad works great. I still have to try out this new update to see how the changes to relative selections works out. They listed that you don’t need to be dead on with the cursor for contextual actions to work anymore. Such as opening a chest, or picking up items, that kind of thing. I bought this game a long time ago and it’s such a sleeper dungeon crawler.
- Comment on Callisto Protocol Publisher Confirms 32 Striking Distance Studios Layoffs to 'Realign Priorities' 1 year ago:
Yeah, I ran it mostly low settings, far and probably between 30-40 fps. So for tons of people that’d be a no go, but I was just excited to play it before I could get back to my rig.

I ran it a couple months ago on a Ryzen 5600x paired with ab6800xt. Game ran brilliantly. I also really enjoyed it. I just didn’t go in expecting it to be dead space. I wanted something new and a little different and that’s exactly what I got. I was surprised I could even play it on steam deck.

Do you just use the trackpads and a custom control scheme or is it friendly enough with the controller setup? That’s pretty cool either way.

Do you mean handheld or while docked with m&k? I didn’t think it had gamepad controls.
