Kept one of those guys for a couple months after catching him on my living room wall. He ate small crickets readily and had web covering the walls and ceiling of his enclosure. Left the door unlatched one day and back into my house he went!
I’ll have another one eventually, their hunting behavior is so fun to watch, especially when catching prey as big as them.

Jumping spiders are friend shaped, do not smash
- Comment on Microsoft's next-generation Xbox pitched as a "cloud hybrid" console 1 year ago:
Because people complained about the connectivity requirements. Unfortunately I don’t think we are there still, infrastructure for a lot of areas will not support this.
- Comment on Updated Edge and it now seems to put a frame with rounded corners around every website 1 year ago:
Much to the chagrin of a large portion of lemmy users Edge is not actually a bad browser. If you’re using a chromium based browser anyway there’s really nothing worse about edge than the other options. Obviously not talking about Firefox here.
- Comment on Do younger people go home earlier now? Or go out less? Is it since COVID? 1 year ago:
That was 10 years ago. The further we get from “the 1900s” the broader the term will become to include the whole century, much like the 1800s is 1800-1899. I imagine in another 10-20 years it will be more and more common to see this shift when referencing past events.

You can’t deny judgment being implied in your statement. It’s very clear how you feel so own it. I will say, however, that shitting on “the kids” or zoomers or whatever is not helpful to anyone. We desperately need to be lifting up future generations so they can help us through the shit. Talking about them in the way you do only serves to keep them “lethargic”.

The 1950s are part of the 1900s… same as 1850 was part of the 1800s. They were just being facetious using “1900s” anyway. That will change as we all get older though, eventually it will just be the 1900s.

Yep, that’s me too, cis male. My SO will tell you how excited I get when pumpkin spice season starts.

Booo, that wasn’t super clear in the title. My fault. More crap to sift through.
- Comment on CNN plans to start a new digital service called CNN MAX 1 year ago:
Bold move calling it MAX due to obvious reasons. Can’t imagine many people will opt in anyway.

I’m a sys admin that uses windows on my personal machine. I’m not trying to do more work on my own time.

That’s not funny, I like Mario.

While the phone itself had issues it led to an actual movement towards foldable and bendable displays. I’d definitely say it has a strong place in tech history unlike the devices in the video.

Climate change, when Florida disappears.

I mean, it was announced forever ago at one of the game conventions so more than whispers. It’s been in some sort of dev pergatory.

Truly. It’s heartfelt and heavy. I’ve never considered it be a comedy. Even Shameless which is admittedly “funnier” is still tough to call a comedy. I only mention it due to the similar vibes and of course shared actor.
The funniest thing about The Bears s2 was all of the Community Easter eggs lol
- Comment on Why do most religious conservatives support capitalist ideology? 1 year ago:
But it seems like in general white conservatives are at the extreme bottom in most scenarios… they’re just also blinded by the “it’s just not my turn to be rich yet” fallacy.

Two narcissistic scum bags attempting to sleep with everyone on the planet can’t possibly get along.
