- Comment on Sony Reportedly Pauses PlayStation VR2 Production to Clear Backlog of Unsold Units 3 months ago:
It’s was the lack of backwards compatibility that killed it for me. I’d had niggling considerations of PSVR1 for some time, then PSVR2 was announced and I was all ready to hand over my money. Until it became clear there was no backward compatibility. So I own neither.
- Comment on FINAL FANTASY XIV for Xbox Series X|S Launches March 21 3 months ago:
Not exactly. PlayStation version uses the same payment methods as the PC version. So though you can’t pay through PS Store you don’t have all this extra layer of Coin crap to deal with that Xbox has apparently enforced on them.

Ubisoft Exec Says Gamers Need to Get ‘Comfortable’ Not Owning Their Games for Subscriptions to Take Off
I’m already comfortable not owning any Ubisoft games.
Seriously, I will be quite happy missing a game or franchise if there’s a lack of physical media in their lineup of releases. I know it doesn’t make sense for every game, but if it’s to push me towards a subscription service, then I’m just not going to be a customer.

Nice to see some more info on the changes. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on this.
- Comment on What are some of the best mini-games youve played? (games inside games) 5 months ago:
Yes. Triple Triad is the only answer here.
Not to be mistaken by the abomination that is Tetra Master.
- Comment on Final Fantasy 17 needs "a younger generation" of lead developers, suggests FF16 producer 5 months ago:
Honestly, I picked up on that and wasn’t offended by what they said. Shame that others didn’t and they’re being downvoted for what was supposed to be a joke.

People seem to forget that the ATB stuff started to come in at IV/V. I’m not sure I want the turned based mechanics and gameplay of games like FFII for the sake of misplaced nostalgia. Give me ATB any day over that.

You don’t know what you’re talking about do you?

Why though?
seems to be because he’s never played any of the games to understand that, thats why.

What would you consider the last Final Fantasy game they made with good writing?

- Comment on Mecha BREAK | Official Gameplay Trailer—Take Part in Closed Alpha Test! 6 months ago:
Up until now I hadn’t realised it was an online-only game and was probably going to look at buying it. That’s a shame.

They may as well rebrand it The Geoff and Kojima show.

Shame, I was looking forward to the big tiddy android witch with gun feet that breathes through her skin.

Honestly I’m getting a bit sick of this “bot” as well. I’ve blocked it now.
- Comment on What game did you last finish? What did you think of it? 7 months ago:
Haha there certainly is a lot. There’s plenty of great games to enjoy though. Though I’ve not been able to play lately, XIV is a longtime favourite of mine.
XV is a good choice, a lot of people will tell you it isn’t, but that’s because it can be a contentious game among fans. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it and found it to be a really compelling game. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it.
- Comment on What game did you last finish? What did you think of it? 7 months ago:
damn is it long
The thing about this is, VII Remake isn’t even the longest game in the franchise. And there isn’t too much difference in play time between Remake and the original. Now we have Rebirth coming up that will add even more to that.
Sounds like you really enjoyed it. Are you planning on delving into any other Final Fantasy games?

Oh my word what a throwback. I had forgotten about those things. I collected a load of the little figures when I was a kid, I wonder what happened to them…

- Comment on New Sony Patent Will Let You Replay A Game From Any Point Possible 7 months ago:
I don’t disagree as iirc the Stadia had a “Share State” feature that isn’t a far cry from this - though that didn’t rely on trigger points.
- Comment on New Sony Patent Will Let You Replay A Game From Any Point Possible 7 months ago:
The patent shows that the save states stream through an API, it’s likely this isn’t for local save but for people streaming games. It will open streaming possibilities like letting audiences pick up exactly where the person they’re watching is, or other audient interactions like “beat this section quicker than I did.”
- Comment on New Sony Patent Will Let You Replay A Game From Any Point Possible 7 months ago:
I think this is more granular than that. More like; pages, paragraphs, or even sentences than chapters.

- Comment on Does anyone feel like an actual adult? 7 months ago:
This. I’ve got a family, a mortgage, debt and everything else that goes with adulthood. My aching joints are the only thing that makes me feel like an adult.
- Comment on The Completionist's Charity Has Been Lying To You For Years 7 months ago:
That said, that still leaves a whole year where both brothers were just sitting on the money. If they really are looking for “the right place” to donate the money to, they’d better pick a place/places fast and get that money out.
Sorry I don’t know much about these guys and how they operate, so it may need explaining, but that rings alarm bells for me. Why didn’t they know and communicate that with everyone donating to begin with? I’m not sure I’d have parted with any money if I didn’t know upfront where it was going.

Considering how much it smacks you in the face, it amazes me how many people fail to see or completely ignore the subversion of destiny plot point.
