I had hoped that my last sentence showed my post was clearly in jest. Neither hostility nor condescension was applied.
In fact, the avid reader might catch that I have implied myself in the group of people causing OP’s annoying trouble with light-clothed females since I too am here - presumably a tech nerd like OP and meddling with the algorithms affecting him by clicking on unsavory content.

Well that’s just not how recommendation algorithms work. A part of it will be content based, directly related to what the user can be associated with.
However, the largest part is collaboration based filtering of content. That means, our user is put in a group based on his other preferences, assume nerdy tech stuff, and then is shown content that he has not liked yet his group of peers has, meaning he could probably like it too.
In other words - he’s not the one in fault here, YOU are. Please everyone stop clicking on this stuff so that OP don’t have to be associated with your filthy behavior, thank you.
- Comment on Adobe putting spam in notification tray on Windows 7 months ago:
I can hardly remember the last time any notification was not some kind of spam or self-notification.
I turn 99.95% of notifications off on any platform. The worst offenders are the apps that will show me a permanent in-app notification that I have turned off notification permissions… especially those that do so blocking the regular UI of the app to tell me this. Even some apps I’ve paid for do this. I condemn those to the deepest pits of app-hell.

This is why I use a random email for every service that I can simply turn off on my end if they don’t behave.

They hit my threshold of shittiness some years back and I’ve been enjoying Jellyfin ever since. It’s a much better alternative for most!

Put a little salt in it! It helps a lot especially with the cheaper brands.

It’s wild to me that you get downvoted so much thought this thread as the OP with replies that are polite enough and just reiterate your opening opinion about the movie.
I think I’ll go and turn off showing downvotes again, I feel I left the need for that behind at the old place.

It’s almost my main reason to not go to the cinema anymore, I do not want to watch any trailers for an upcoming movie I already know I want to see. I’m rather waiting 6 months for streaming. Of course, that means avoiding any info about the movie for 6 more months. It was so much better during Covid when stuff got released almost directly to streaming.
I think Star Wars was the last movies that had good takers that just teased you without revealing any plot points. Modern trailers reveal absolutely every plot and twist in the whole movie. I hate it.

I’m really just speaking for myself. It had some interesting elements. It was ok to watch on the first play through. I’m quite surprised by all the official accolade of how great the film is.

I probably don’t care that much for family drama, so that just detracted from the fantasy experience for me? I liked several elements of it, but as a whole it was a noisy experience.
It’s funny that a movie is so divisive.

Yeah visuwords is more like a visualized view of the grammar and synonyms for a word in a dictionary and does not allow any new input.
Brain Cloud is instead an unstructured approach that lets you build new connections between words and contexts and to provide new knowledge. I like it.
Could be fun with some additional input where you could for example provide a thumbs up / down if you feel the association is positive or negative.

That’s cool, interesting to see how many of my connections are new.
I’ve always been a big fan of visuwords.com, which have a similar visualization, but with structured connections based on grammar.

I watched it before I knew anything about the hype, and it was just an ok movie for me. Fun that they dare be playful.
I was very surprised when I saw all the main stream accolades it received. I guess maybe it managed to be seen by a lot of people that would normally like weird fantasy movies etc, so it was something new and fun for them?
I watched it again later to see what I had missed. I had not missed anything. Did not finish the last play through.

For your consolation, many “answers” there are poor and just copy pasted from some open website anyway.

I think the load screens is what will kill it for me. I’d like to be immersed in a new universe. Not just select places from a menu and then load that place in.
