  It’s way less moving when you remember Jobs was only dying because he tried to treat one of the only actually treatable forms of pancreatic cancer with his diet instead of real treatment. It was still his tech CEO self righteousness that killed him, but just in a way that gave him time to realize how he fucked up.

  It’s impossible to make your data completely unattractive to purchase but using something like the adnauseum extension on your browser can make your data less useful when it has been purchased.

  Posts like this are almost always bad faith. A week or so ago, someone posted in asklemmy asking which sub was the worst community and said they had been banned from the hexbear urbanism community for disagreeing about trains but if you actually checked they got banned for calling all homeless people drug addicts.

  As someone who used to have a pretty bad drinking problem, NA beers have gotten so good in the past few years. Heineken zeros are almost indistinguishable from normal ones and craft NAs have also gotten pretty good. Even though I’m not “fully sober” I mix in some non alcoholic beers if it’s going to be a long night to help pace myself.

  The design failure is not following parking lot design best practices and installing parking stoppers or bollards on spaces that are directly next a walkway. People are going to pull forward to the only point of reference they have which, because there are no lines or stoppers, is the sidewalk curb.

  Of course this is all a wild simplification but, Azerbaijan basically wants to take over all of Armenia and have a border with Turkiye. Armenia is “Pro-Russia” in that Russia is the only country offering to step in, and they desperately need the “peacekeeping” forces to keep Azerbaijan out. They kinda have to just go with it at this point if they want to continue to exist.

  Yeah, I learned not to buy harbor freight calipers the hard way lol.

  I’m usually in the camp that suggests buying a cheap version of a tool from harbor freight and then using it until you break it before buying a good one, but torque wrenches are an exception to that. Just get a decent one at any hardware store unless you have snap-on money.
