- Comment on Predator: Badlands will have the Predator as its hero: ‘the creature is front and centre’ 4 weeks ago:
This sounds like a great way to ruin a franchise. Especially with how great Prey was, this is disappointing to hear.
- Comment on How do poor people in the states give birth without money? 1 year ago:
There’s nothing wrong with it. Thats what midwives are for.
- Comment on Totally not a ad company! 1 year ago:
Nah I’d have to disagree in that statement entirely. TV Stations are ad companies. It isn’t shows with commercials every now and then, it’s the other way around.
And have you read a Magazine in the last 30 years? They’re entirely ads, including sponsored content.

I feel like they’re just out to prove the name of this community wrong. They’re doing a great job!
- Comment on How do we have an adult conversation when the children are in charge? 1 year ago:
They’ve been at this all day on a number of posts.
- Comment on How do we have an adult conversation when the children are in charge? 1 year ago:
Don’t engage in this thread folks. This user has been trolling all day.
- Comment on Why is science better than the alternative? (And what is that alternative, exactly?) 1 year ago:
Thank you for proving that you are in fact, just a troll.
- Comment on Why is science better than the alternative? (And what is that alternative, exactly?) 1 year ago:
Your intentions may be good, but you’re going about it the completely wrong way. You’ve been given several answers but you refuse to accept them. My gut says you aren’t trolling, but this is what trolls do.
- Comment on Why is science better than the alternative? (And what is that alternative, exactly?) 1 year ago:
Stop being obtuse.
- Comment on Why is science better than the alternative? (And what is that alternative, exactly?) 1 year ago:
Right? There’s no alternative to math, numbers are numbers.
- Comment on How did people refer to clockwise movement before the invention of the clock? 1 year ago:
No, those words don’t appear in those books. He’s referring to Discworld by Terry Pratchett.
- Comment on Why don't we strap a GoPro to the moon lander? 1 year ago:
This is a great question, with great answers. Who needs AskScience?!
- Comment on Where can I find Salvia? 1 year ago:
Depends where you live. If it’s legal where you live, most corner stores/headshops will have it.
- Comment on Why do dentists have such a bad reputation compared to other kinds of doctors? 1 year ago:
In Canada it’s two reasons:
- They don’t go to Medical School.
- They aren’t covered by Provincial Health Plans, and therefore cost money.
These are the same reasons I don’t trust Veterinarians, or Chiropractors.
- Comment on Why are we anonymous here? 1 year ago:
No it isn’t.
- Comment on ‘Fargo’ Season 5 Gets Premiere Date; Plot Details & First Images Unveiled 1 year ago:
Season 2 is one of the best seasons of television I’ve ever seen. Four was pretty good, but is set in Kansas City instead. It would’ve been a lot better received if it wasn’t called “Fargo”.
- Comment on ‘Fargo’ Season 5 Gets Premiere Date; Plot Details & First Images Unveiled 1 year ago:
Jon Hamm and Dave Foley? Hell yes, I am so in. Hopefully returning the story to Minnesota/North Dakota will help it feel more like the first three seasons (not that 4 was bad, but it was different).

It’s moving away from us so fast it blended in with the red background.
- Comment on fuck netflix and their fucking clickbait sex thumbnails 1 year ago:
Netflix drove many people to leave piracy, and now they’re driving them right back to it again.
Way to go guys.
- Comment on PSA: the largest piracy community is blocked from lemmy.world 1 year ago:
In many jurisdictions what they’re doing there isn’t illegal at all. It is well understood that you do not post links out in the open.
Downloading isn’t illegal, sharing is. At least outside of the US (and a few others)
- Comment on Why so many people get triggered about ads nowadays? 1 year ago:
Because I can’t go two minutes without someone trying to sell me something, and it’s infuriating. I can’t even browse Lemmy without someone spamming my feed with their shitty Lets Play videos, or some random selfhosted project posted by the company who made it.
It’s disingenuine, and is to me one of the single largest reasons I’ve switched over to decentralized platforms.
- Comment on Can flies recognize that I'm holding a flyswatter? 1 year ago:
This is why my family invested in some of those Salt Guns you can use to kill flies. If you’re going to be driven crazy, it should at least let you release some steam.
- Comment on Umm I think I'll just delete you instead 1 year ago:
And thats why I switched to Matrix and set up a Telegram bridge.
- Comment on Why does all of this alien stuff take place mostly in the USA? 1 year ago:
You mean the one time every 4 years that American events have an impact on them?
