You have moira_mayhem on Kbin and LW and this account. We don’t give a platform to fascists that’s why we defederated from those instances. But what you want is an echo chamber, I’m sure the instance you applied for will be better suited. But that account will be banned from this instance as well.
- Comment on Looking for an actual left leaning Lemmy instance 11 months ago:
Don’t worry about that you and your alta are banned.

The admin you had a talk with posted the conversation and he was VERY fair towards you.

- Comment on Why did lemmy.world defederate from ani.social? 1 year ago:
Hey folks,
So what happened? We manage our defederation process with fediseer. It’s a system that allows us, instance admins, to follow the defederation happening on other selected instances. We generally follow the defederation of sh.itjust.works, lemmy.dbzer0.com, literature.cafe, lemmings.world and a few other instances that have proven to be trustworthy in the past. However, in most of the cases I will also review them manually instead of blindly following them. That’s why I added a censure for ani.social with tag “Loli” as was being reported - contrary to the “CSAM” that was being reported by Lemmy.ml.
When I was informed that might have been a mistake I delved a bit deeper and saw there was indeed no proof of any CSAM or even LOLI being posted - and I deleted the censure and we federated again. After this I made a post on the ani.social instance about what happened.
We always put censures in Fediseer to be as transparant as possible but we usually don’t announce blocks on CSAM, Loli or Spam instances. Why? Because for Loli and Csam we don’t want to give those instances extra exposure by announcing them. And for Spam, there’s just too many and it would be hard to keep up.
Again, apologies for being quick on the buttons but the csam/loli blocking is treated in a “better safe than sorry” way. And everything was corrected within an acceptable time imo.
Thanks!

They were indeed posting to lemmy.world communities.

Most if not all posts on that instance/community come from alien.top bots. Lemmy World does not allow bots that import from Reddit, as defined in our Rules for bots here: lemmy.world/post/1860512

- Comment on homeimprovement@lemmy.world GONE! How did this happen? Who could be so destructive? 1 year ago:
I had to manually change a flag in the database to restore the community. There was no option from the UI to do a “restore” like you normally can. The user also deleted his account after maybe that is why.
Either way, what happened here can happen anywhere. And while there is always talks about “spreading the loading because it is good for the fediverse” it also shows what can happen if an instance’s admin(s) becomes inactive for whatever reason. We have lemmy.one and feddit.uk now who’s admins seem to have disappeared. Your community and accounts can be gone overnight.

Only one moderator in that community and he deleted it.

I changed it in the database, seems to work

Hey folks,
The community was deleted by the creator. I had to restore it via the database but it seems to have worked and the community is visible again on other instances too. It can take a few tries to open that community if you are on another instance as it has to be federated again first.
We also need a new moderator team for that community. So anyone interested, point us to some of the posts you did in that community and we’ll have a look!

The dick move is when you call out people that are doing something for you for free. Everything you see here is provided to you by volunteers who have to think about what’s best for everyone in the community. And sometimes that means taking unpopular decisions. Thanks!

Hey everyone. We were still deciding what to do with the kbin.social problem.
While we want to stop the spam - we don’t want to let down our community members that visit us from kbin.

Same, played a few CIV games over the years but never really got into it… Nothing sticked. I would play it for a few days and then go back to playing fps games :)

Hey @BackOnMyBS@lemmy.world this is not a Lemmy support forum. We already had one post from you a while ago about Lemmy functionality but we can not help you with that here. This is a support community for the Lemmy World instance not the Lemmy software. As suggested by another user in this thread it is best to post these kind of requests in the Lemmy GitHub.

Yes, please try clearing browser cache and cookies first.
And if that doesn’t work try using photon.lemmy.world or a.lemmy.world ?

This thread is about unpinning a local thread. Something that does not affect people from another instance at all.
