- Comment on Liz Truss leaves stage in Beccles as 'lettuce' banner unfurls 2 months ago:
When you are an asshole and an idiot at the same time and get treated like one - don’t be that surprised, Liz. The Lettuce was your boss level monster, and you lost. And now it made you run away from reality again.
All I can say is Go, Lettuce Go!
- Comment on Kino Lorber Boss Explains Why DVDs Are “Still an Important Part of Our Business” 5 months ago:
If a movie or series is not available on any of the streaming service you are already subscribing, it might be cheaper just to buy a DVD or BD than subscribing just another service juts for this occasion.
- Comment on American bully XL owner: 'I'd sooner go to jail than lose my dogs' 9 months ago:
On the other hand, whenever you hear or see a headline of “(dog) attacked and maimed (someone)”, the (dog) usually comes from a small select group of dog races. Or did you ever hear “Poodle killed baby”?
Yes, the main problem is the owners. But certain owners attract certain kinds of dog races, and it is not always a smart or healthy match.
- Comment on Two men, aged 60 and 61, arrested by counter terror police over ULEZ camera explosion 10 months ago:
I got two tickets from them despite my car being clean, and had to fight TfLs minions with a lawyer for half a year.
- Comment on UK environment secretary took donation from funder of climate sceptic thinktank 11 months ago:
That’s normal, he is a Tory, after all.
- Comment on Boris Johnson called Treasury ‘the pro-death squad’, Covid inquiry told 11 months ago:
The real UK pro-death sqad is the DWP.
- Comment on Boris Johnson reveals he is joining GB News 11 months ago:
For what? He does not have the necessary smarts for a good news source or commentary, nor has he the looks for TV.
- Comment on London apartment block that deviates from plans must be torn down, says council 1 year ago:
While it is a waste, it is necessary not to let things like that slip. They built something they did not have a permission for, as simple as that. Just like when you decide to expand your home with an annex without a permit.
They got permission to build a house based on plans A, and actually built a house based on plans B. And by the looks of it, we are not talking about the building being 5cm to wide in one direction (which had led to a tear down order here in one case), but quite a number of massive violations.
- Comment on London apartment block that deviates from plans must be torn down, says council 1 year ago:
Well, they had a good plan that they got permission for to build. It is not the council’s fault that they actually built something else.

Thank you!
- Comment on Correct term to address a mayor and council members from the UK? 1 year ago:
No, I’m not going to announce them ;-) But maybe, if we have a conversation going, I am going to ask him what he thinks about “His Worship”.
So it is just “Mr. Mayor Lindney”, which is fine with me.

- Comment on Brexit: Labour will seek re-write of deal, Starmer says 1 year ago:
Even worse: I see no reason for the EU to even think about starting a re-negotiation. It makes no sense for them.
- Comment on Free streaming platform with live TV from BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 launches next year 1 year ago:
Be happy that you public TV is not only way above international standards, but also much cheaper. I actually would not mind to pay that in order to watch BBC.
- Comment on Highest number of small boat migrant crossings in a single day recorded 1 year ago:
Back when the UK was part of the EU, this was not much of an issue. Isn’t that funny?
- Comment on Schools are only crumbling because the left-wing Wokerati made us cut the school repair budget in half, insists Government 1 year ago:
Just remind me, how long are the Tories controlling the fate of the country now?
- Comment on More than half of UK children do not read in their spare time, survey reveals 1 year ago:
They read the books that the schools makes them read, and just assume that all the other books are just as boring, bad, and waste of time.
- Comment on Camera attacks and conspiracy theories: How Ulez became a vigilante battleground 1 year ago:
As a tourist, I don’t want to spend a few hours in the morning and evening just to get in and out of London. Getting in and out from Ealing already was a pain in the …, getting even farther out has really no appeal. There are other places to visit in the UK.
- Comment on Camera attacks and conspiracy theories: How Ulez became a vigilante battleground 1 year ago:
I’ve got a newer car, but ULEZ f-ed up and billed us nonetheless. We had to fight it tooth and nail and get a lawyer to get this fixed.
- Comment on Camera attacks and conspiracy theories: How Ulez became a vigilante battleground 1 year ago:
As someone who fought for months against unwarranted ULEZ violation tickets, this would be the reason not to visit London anymore.
- Comment on British people increasingly recognise Brexit is a mistake – so why the silence? 1 year ago:
There is a big, big difference between “noticing” and “admitting”. E.g. there are a lot of older drivers. They usually noticed that they are no longer good for the road, but would they admit it and stop driving? Or look at this senile American Mitch McConnell - probably had a stroke in the middle of an interview, but would he admit that he is no longer fit for office?
- Comment on Being asked to switch to American English if I want to edit my playlist details 1 year ago:
I remember seeing a web site where they had the British flag next to “English” and the American next to “English (Simplified)”
