Fair enough, but I would contend “a broad range” is compatible with “all but one”

Still doesn’t define walkable
Idk if you’re trolling or just obstinate lmao
- Comment on Well done, all of you! 2 weeks ago:
Define walkable.
I can walk to literally everything I need in my daily life except my job, and the share of residents lucky enough to work in the city can walk or bike to those too. My city scores incredibly high in both walk and bike scores; this drives real estate prices up, which drives employers to the suburbs, and—wouldn’t you know it!—the cheapest places to build office parks are situated away from the commuter transit.

What do I do if the public transit is pretty good and the city is walkable, but all the jobs are in office parks 40 minutes out of town?

- Comment on How worried should we be about hantavirus right now? 1 month ago:
Not very, it spreads human to human but it’s much harder to spread than flu or covid.
“We do believe that there may be some human-to-human transmission that’s happening among the really close contacts, the husband and wife, people who’ve shared cabins,” said Maria Van Kerkhove, the director of epidemic and pandemic management at the World Health Organization, speaking at a press conference on Tuesday.
…
However, Debbink says, if this is indeed human-to-human transmission, the virus does not seem to be highly transmissible because then “you would have a lot more cases on the cruise ship, just from people being around each other in pretty close proximity.”

Not sure where you’re getting this info from, because it’s horribly wrong.
Per Baseball Reference, corroborated by Savant:
- Rich Hill is not an active MLB player
- Verlander weighs 240
- Scherzer weighs 208
- Martin is 39yo, 6’8”
- Santana is 40yo, 5’10” 210lb
Leaving aside that you’re calling 43yo/6’5”/240lb “old and fat”—that’s below average BMI even before accounting for BMI not accurately representing the fatness of elite athletes

- Comment on U.S. consumers are so fucked up, that they put more than $1 billion on buy-now, pay later services during Cyber Monday 6 months ago:
Assuming you need to buy the product, taking on zero interest debt gives you greater liquidity that you can theoretically activate elsewhere to improve your cash flow. For the amounts and time scales of BNPL, though, I don’t entirely see the point.

Getty Images has an image generator trained exclusively on licensed images. I’m not aware of any text generators that do the same.

Boeing can’t really replace workers. The union is so strong because aerospace machining is a very difficult job that takes years and years to learn—if they cut their workforce and start anew, they will lose enough productivity that it won’t be worth whatever wages they save.

The maintainer also comes off as a colossal asshole about the whole thing who didn’t even deign to offer a scrap of credit to the programmer who found and fixed a six-year-old bug. If the article is truthful, the maintainer is the sort of toxic, power-tripping, self-obsessed repo czar that actively makes the open source community worse.
