The Witcher IV is in full-scale production (probably wouldn’t be finished sooner if they threw more personnel at it) and Songs of the Past is being developed by Fool’s Theory, a studio formed by former CDP staff.

If it’s anything like the two other DLC it’s a bit more than “a bit of content”. The cynisism of putting a bad spin on supporting an old game with content is exhausting tbh.

Weird how we are suddenly against Chinese game companies like tencent due to security issues.
I don’t know who “we” is but Chinese game companies always had a bad rep. They just recently tried to gamewash their image by releasing games in this one genre with the sword and epic journeys.
- Comment on Former Valve writer says PlayStation killing physical discs is no conspiracy: "You, the consumer, have made your choice, and the choice is for digital" 6 days ago:
Well can you see beforehand which game uses Steam DRM? And I still need the client installed to download anything, and even then I only archive the actual game, not any dependency.

- Comment on PlayStation 3 emulator RPCS3 reaches a new milestone: 75% of all PS3 games are now playable on PC 1 week ago:
They don’t work so you can play (pirated) games, they work because building a near-complete emulator is demanding and satisfying work.
- Comment on Should I buy a Switch 2 despite owning an OLED? 1 week ago:
Like the OP I answered to who suggested to not pay money for games instead? I was making fun of their „principles“.
- Comment on Should I buy a Switch 2 despite owning an OLED? 1 week ago:
Your principle should be to not generate any kind of demand, not even cultural, and not play their games at all. Otherwise, you’re just cherrypicking for comfort.

All hardware vendors that use DDR RAM increase their prices for obvious reasons.

More like blaming the traveling platform when all hotels use a crappy feature they provide and no one asked for.

No difference from a customer perspective.
- Comment on As Xbox and PlayStation flounder, Steam is reportedly having another record year 2 weeks ago:
The basic principle is the same: a DRM-enabled online store, and more often than not the only source for certain games, a monopoly.

20 years ago, the exact opposite was said about Steam and they didn’t change much. People just got used to it.

It’s like there are less and less songs produced now that bother with an intro because streaming services demand that you should get to the chorus fast.

I’m not discouraging but there is a difference between “I boycott Forza because …” and “You support a genocide because you bought Forza” and I’m sure you’re aware of that. As you said, we all draw our lines somewhere, working together, and shouldn’t point fingers at other lines when we don’t know the circumstances.
