- Comment on "It’s time to come back to Firefox. The Internet you loved is still here." - Firefox brings together people from famous internet memes in the 2000s in a new marketing push 1 week ago:
It’s a great ad! Sadly the underlying message is simply not true. Regardless of the browser you use (and I do use firefox) the old internet is no longer there. Now it’s just four apps full of brain dead content. It’s quite sad actually.
- Comment on Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Trailer 1 month ago:
Looks like it’s going to be very close to the original, at least judging by the scenes they chose for the trailer. The camera and scenarios look 1:1 identical to OOT. I like that!
Hope they introduce some bonus content or an Easter egg, but I do think that being faithful to the original is a the right choice.
- Comment on Anyone out there? 2 months ago:
I’ve been on lemmy since the beginning. My recommendation is to check the more wholesome communities, pets, and fandom. They’re very active and people there are great. I see more negativity in the news communities (world, tech…), so depending on your preferences maybe get your news and comment from somewhere else.
- Comment on How come not all people are organ donors? It's not like they will need them where ever they go. 3 months ago:
People are being a bit cynical in the comments, so I’ll share my experience which is a bit different.
I felt an irrational fear when I checked the box to become an organ donor a few years ago.
I rationally knew it was the right thing to do, but it felt bad nonetheless. Nowadays I just no longer think about it.
So my guess is that many people are scared of it, but no one wants to admit that.
