How do you do, fellow kids? You gettin’ indoctrinated on the world wide web? Radical!
Come on down to your local Burger Baron restaurant, rated the #1 pizza in Onoway, BC! First established in Edmonton, Alberta…is one claim amongst many!

Since it had couch co-op I played through it quite a lot with my sister haha. The game was super impressive at the time yeah.

An idtech 1 source port thanks to John Carmack you can do that for most of id Software game engines up until idtech 4.

Excuse the rancid salvaged screenshot from my old defunct photobucket account:
That was when I had an Athlon XP 1500+ 1.83Ghz single core trying Medal of Honor.
Going from that to a Core 2 Quad 6600 was magical for PS2 emulation!

Yeah so does Kagi, it’s inescapable :(

I know, I had hoped the first sentence covered that but yeah to be clear it’s not like everyone on a specific instance is hive-minded with the instance admins.

Most drama you’ll see on Fediverse will involve leadership, moderators, and power-users within the following groups who don’t like each other:
Anarchist faction: db0, quokk, nexus, etc
Tankie faction: .ml, Leningrad, hexbear, etc
Liberal faction: status quo enforcers .world, the biggest instance unfortunately. Feddit, etc.
Powertripping/insane mods and admins. A modicum of online power goes to people’s heads here same as anywhere. Stick around long enough you’ll pick up on the repeat offenders via osmosis even if you don’t actively dig up dirt.
Manipulative narrative control obsessed web and app developers. Lemmy and Piefed both have awful people as lead developers. Then there was Tesserect which… recent drama. I’m not getting into it unasked.
Good news is you picked a good home instance with .zip as far as I know.

Yeah I think we’re fucked but unwilling to really acknowledge that, so we don’t act strongly, and make it inevitable.
- Comment on Play games with your neighbor to sink even lower! Canada rules! 1 week ago:
I just don’t think it’ll last unless we diversify our media away from the USA too.
- Comment on Play games with your neighbor to sink even lower! Canada rules! 1 week ago:
I’m totally fine never buying anything American ever again.
The only pain point for me is computer parts. They’re already insane, this makes them 50% more expensive on top of that because x86 is USA dominated.
- Comment on Is there a website that can tell you the new names to I guess "classify" people? Like the R word, or the N word or skin color or nationaility? For ex. Is African American still acceptable and so forth 1 week ago:
And on the flip side, if you’re intentionally being offensive, don’t be shocked when people get offended. There’s no polite way to call someone a dipshit or any alternative similar word. Insult is insult. I always find this amusing when the person deliberately causing offense gets offended that other people are offended by them being offensive. Own it or don’t do it to begin with, Don. Speech has consequences.

I love the games except that I needed to follow guides to actually finish them, but I’m generally shit at horror games so that tracks.
My partner at the time we’d take turns every mission, good memories.

- Comment on Is the world more volatile now or is it just the abundance of news? 4 weeks ago:
Abundance of news yes, but also human population is way higher. There’s twice as many humans alive today than when my boomer dad was born.
- Comment on PSBLACKOUT (boycott of PlayStation) 4 weeks ago:
Yep. The hill my new console owning habits died on was any corp pushing paying to play online subscriptions and I stuck to that. I’ll buy used later if there’s exclusives I want.

A lot where I used to live ran small convenience stores within the laundromat during the day to make a little more money. Depends how much foot traffic they get to make that worth the effort I’m sure.

Years ago one of my older cousins was looking after me and had a cabinet full of various hot sauces. Decided to challenge me to try all of them with crackers and see if either of us would give up. Neither of us gave up 😤. Da Bomb I remember quite well. Mean on its own. Taste not great, heat hits immediately with no build up. I can see why Hot Ones keeps using it lol.
