Too many decades running campaigns, I guess, but I know a problem character when I see one. 🙃

If at least one of those chicks was Garbo, it’d be an improvement.

Remote in somehow? Considering they’re apparently quite simple to access, I imagine it’s not all that complicated to add a bit of clever inside the casing to facilitate remote access. Still, that’s a small number of them —unless that was shared too, of course. 😉

Thanks for this! I was too stoned and exhausted from a long shift last night to parse the article comprehensively, much less in full. 🙇🏼♂️

Fair point, and I don’t disagree in the slightest. The corruption and unchecked greed is at an especially pervasive point these days though, and that doesn’t bode well for any tech that may’ve been intended to help people —and very likely could’ve, if it wasn’t for those that’re far more interested in helping themselves. 🥲

FWIW, this seems ripe for data collection and field testing for free. (unless it’s a paid sub, then that’s worse)
Exploiting abuse survivors to test a surveillance system is a new low —even for government. 🖕🏼

From what it looks like here, I’m kinda relieved I have no idea what that show is.
- Comment on Anon gives a piracy history lesson 2 weeks ago:
Hunh. It’s almost as if the same fucksticks from pre-internet days were suddenly pulling rank on the youngins and handing down decrees of returning to tried & true profit lines —despite that being a shit idea with a volatile, barely-sustainable lifespan.

Apropos, considering the leading cola began as a cocaine delivery method. The parallels abound.

Don’t apologize, much less anthropomorphize, corporations. You’re doing their work for them. 🤬

need to survive.
That’s the thing though: they don’t need to survive. We never needed them to, and yet they bleed our public funds to get bailed out every fucking time that can’t come up with another scheme in time. Then, it’s right back to bleeding us more directly. 🤷🏼♂️

When their background image shows up on retail clothing, that price hike & quiet pivot was only a meter of time. ☝🏼
IMHO, that shit’s right up there with oversized button-downs emblazoned with copious flames around a serpentine dragon/soaring eagle/howling wolf/et al. 🤦🏼♂️
