- Comment on Why are some Linux community so toxic? 1 week ago:
Sort of similar is people that make posts on social media, some purposefully make a wrong comment in the title to foster engagement, and it works, people will come on to correct the OP and it will get bumped up on the algorithm.

- Comment on Anon judges Karl 2 weeks ago:
His books and writings are a contribution anyway. Plus he was already wealthy so idk if mooching off his family is accurate at all.
- Comment on Anon judges Karl 2 weeks ago:
Working a job is not neccessarily making a contribution to society, not a good contribution oftentimes to be sure.
He was also wealthy to begin with, as was Engels. But his books and writings are a contribution in any case even if he didn’t get rich off them as OP suggests here.

- Comment on Why don't county jails open up their free bed space in times of severe cold and severe heat to the homeless and others and just give them their own cell? And can leave whenever. 3 weeks ago:
The poor have been demonized for 4 decades plus in rw media, and it’s bled through to the controlled opposition long since. While many people you know might not openly endorse fucking the poor, that is neither here nor there. How do you not already know this?

Those are sunk costs. Inmates don’t get forced to pay their jail boarding fees, it gets sent to collections, next to no one pays those. Other court ordered costs you go to jail for not paying but not room and board costs for jail, not in my state or others I’m familiar with.

Police and jails do not pay for themselves. They are often one of the biggest line items on county and city budgets, if not the biggest. The fines and fees aren’t paying for the cost as such, bagholding taxpayers are. It’s a business, and they will be privatizing it if things keep on the way they are.

It’s not even that, society has joined the war against poverty, on the side of the rich against the poor. We hate the poor, we want them to be hurt. Thank Fox for that bullshit.

Because fuck you that’s why. Not you in particular. You asked why they don’t, that’s what they would say in private.

Sounds like someone should file a lawsuit against the school for using ai ai detectors that don’t work right.
At the least there should be an appeals process, anonymously, where the decision goes to a jury of faculty or something if not settled otherwise.

For the record, there has never been a documented attack of a healthy wolf on a person in North America. Obviously if they get rabies or distemper or something all bets are off.

As to finishing too quickly, the answer, I regret to inform you, excepting drugs we don’t want to get addicted to, not the least with this synthetic shit laced everywhere, is gooning out a lot. The more you go, the longer you can last.
It’s all about the dopamine though.
- Comment on Foreign workers say they were paid less than $2 an hour to build a new US Consulate in Milan 4 weeks ago:
WTF happened to prevailing wage? That needs to translate to US wages overseas. The feds are spending money hand over fist, the least they can do is not use what is close to forced labor.
- Comment on Tommy Robinson meets Elon Musk’s father in Moscow 4 weeks ago:
Yeah, for now. The system will collapse from these rulers though. Then, all bets are off, and tommy’s yacht won’t keep him safe.
This shit is going to go downhill fast on the track we are on.
- Comment on East Asia 4 weeks ago:
That is the same dynamic with the mountains that makes the west coast of the US susceptible to higher air pollution, to say nothing of places like Mexico City. Not much coal that I’m aware of, but all of the exhaust has no where to go and just sits there.
Out west I noticed smoke would hug the ground more, on the continental part it rises more.
- Comment on Tommy Robinson meets Elon Musk’s father in Moscow 4 weeks ago:
Robinson surely jumped at the chance of being the tool of the super rich seeking to steal our fucking lunch. Then our houses. Our ownership of our own electronics. It’s all going to be pay to use if these fucking twats get what they want.
Way to go Tommy you fucking dumbshit. Tool for the oligarchy, you deserve the world you are helping to create.

Yeah they are super low, like they don’t have hills to speak of and are really flat and close to the sea. They would have to, although you never hear about them like the netherlands in that regard. Not sure if they are included in “the low countries,” people mention, but I didn’t think so, but they are.

For the record, soap kills insects. Get a good spray bottle, put a lot of soap in it, more than recommended online for me.
I genocided a ground wasp nest I stepped on some time back with the soap water, they don’t make the connection between me and getting sprayed. I spent like three hours spraying countless wasps.
They jive around when sprayed, then maybe 12 seconds they go on their back convulsing, still within a minute.
- Comment on Buzz off 4 weeks ago:
I get stung all the time. I mean not every year but maybe every other, but I work outside. If wasps nests are so sacrosanct and important, why do some species leave them laying on the ground?
Fuck Ground wasps. All stinging wasps are like mean drunks when it gets hot outside. Obviously there are thousands of other species, few of which sting.
- Comment on East Asia 4 weeks ago:
The winters are super hardcore though. I forget numbers, but it gets really really cold, worse than the upper midwest of the US and central canada in temperature, although I think they get less snow than many of us.

They heat with coal stoves, their cities are like 18th century london.

Mongolia is poor as shit and going through droughts and deep deep freezes in the winters that are killing all of their livestock, last I heard. They are not doing well.
- Comment on Communism 4 weeks ago:
That is true. Communism devolves into autocracy the way it’s been tried, and autocracies always devolve.
Look at fucking China, it’s a capitalistic hellscape.
- Comment on Anon is unimpressed 4 weeks ago:
That is true. Roman Concrete is still standing 2k years on. Ours lasts decades, maybe a century if well done.
They used ash from Mount Aetna in Sicily to make some of it. I forget the thing with the lime, how that was different than what we use?

Pretty sure they have some cool castles in denmark. They did at one point at least, around the early 1600’s I know they had castles with batteries around their straits to enforce tolls for ships passing through, the monarchies main source of income.
