Think of it like a ratchet mechanism. He’s not there to move things left, he’s there to keep things in place while the right takes a little break to twist up the tension even more.

That’s vegetal how the left works in the US now. They’re not actually there to create change or movement, they just hold the place and keep things from moving until the right can get back in power. It’s…awful and obvious once you notice it.
