Also you gotta be careful saying things like that, you know. I might take it as an opening to send you a more songs I like.
It is, so go ahead…I’m curious, and I enjoy passing judgement. I feel the need to reciprocate so I hope you don’t end up regretting it. (what if my taste just sucks?) prepare for some lukewarm takes as well.
And then started talking about my own preferences like a narcissistic asshole. So uhm, whoops?
Sometimes I cringe and regret the dumb throwaway coments I make on this site (like the one you responded to) but this turned out to be a delightful exchange, might be one of my favourites I’ve had with you…so imma ask you to cut it out with that, ok? I’m deeply apreciative of all those thoughts you shared and I’ll just say that indeed biceps are overrated.
And on your closing pargraph, yeah I’m with you 100%, beautifully put. I just saw a video essay the other day that also compared Bayonetta and stellar blade so, even though I haven’t played either of those, I get the point.
And… Shit I really need to go back and finish Disco Elysium.

I think I never finished season 1… I don’t remember exactly but I felt it had a lot of filler. Might give it a chance again if season 2 is where it ramps up.

Oh my, how he looks at the camera… you present a strong agument tho I do not need convincing, I’m already here for it. (Also, cool song, I like it)
As an admirer of the physical form it’s hard to not go for the classical examples of beauty in a question about overt sexualization (since op mentioned fan service). I threw in some wild cards in my list, but perhaps I’m just into being approached with murderous intent. XD
If we get a little more cerebral than that, yeah I guess you can talk about some more dimensional archetypes like “tortured poet” (and the like) and still answer the og question. Maybe a more interesting question would be, “how to better sexualize characters in videogames” and drop the gendered part of it. (Tho the female gaze is definitely an interesting topic to discuss, If one thing is true is that we as an audience are more open to variety.)
So hum… You are into the lanky and tortured? Is being a poet also a strong requirement for you?

I’ve tried to get into Jojo so meny times for the beautiful men, but I kinda get bored.
Regardless ,thanks Araki. I still love the art.

(Lol, that’s your objection on this list?)
^True,^ but I’m not exactly going for substance here, and I’m definitely into how Halsin looks (and sounds.)
There’s plenty of well developed characters in BG3 that I’m not really offended by him being bland.

I also think for women, the pure visual isn’t quite as important as their movements and actions. That part gets tricky since tastes vary.
I find Wolf (sekiro) very hot in part because of how his movement is animated. BUT the man looks like he hasn’t bathed in weeks so… He’s more of a "hear me out’.
And also not thinking about visuals… Yeah, a sexy voice can do a lot of heavy lifting for a character.

Of.course, plus Geralt knows how to treat a lady. You know what, let’s trow in Eskel as well, for the “rolled up sleeves” people… I see y’all.

KILTS!
- Comment on How to sexualize males for a female audience? 1 week ago:
I’ll cite some examples.
Hades and hades 2 did it right in both fronts.
Kazahn.
Elden Ring. Godfrey/ Hoarah Loux & Radagon. (Crumbling or whatever, I don’t care)
Or give me a guy in full plate with a sexy gait, see: Demon’s Souls Penetrator.
I’m sorry I don’t make the rules.

Omg I’m so sorry, I’ve dealt with their bullshit as well and it might have been the worse customer experience of my life. your vivid narration made me laugh so hard tho, so thanks for that. hope your issue gets resolved.

There’s place in my heart for clunky combat but you’re right, maybe now’s not the right time for that one.
I have Enotria in my library (I pulled the trigger on it after reading about your playthroughs last year). I think I’ll go with it as I know more or less what to expect now.
Valuable insight as always, thanks.

Still Sekiro, clearing stuff before the ending I found “the trad souls fight” and it’s tough-ish but I’m having a blast with it.

Left for dead 1&2, I was early 20’s, and I arrived to gaming late in life. Was it worth it? Yeah, I was pretty addicted to zombie shit back in the day. XD I only played the campaigns tho, wasn’t confident in my ability to play with others.

I saw that gameplay clip you shared and it’s parry city over there, heh. Looks complex! I undersand where you are coming from, but, you are a seasoned gamer, I’m certain you have what it takes for Sekiro.
Still, I’ll try my best to provide some “good” commentary ;). Have a nice week!

Oh! Very creative… it always surprises me the kind of stuff people will make into a sim game!
TLDR: It’s gooood! It took some adjusting, ngl. Letting go of the muscle memory of the trad. soulslike formula. But I’m having a good time. Steeper learning curve, but not as hard as it’s reputation makes it out to be.
Tangent
I got sorta stuck in a no combat part of the game, trying to reach a new area, lost patience and got distracted with DS3, (but that save got corrupted over the weekend . RIP ಥ_ಥ) so I’m back to Sekiro
I was scared of it for the longest time but after playing Lies of P I lost my fear of parrying and decided to just go for it. Parrying is the easy part, actually.
What’s challenging is you have to learn how to properly answer the enemy’s moves, and have to be desicive enough to build the stance damage. So, no fucking around, Hesitation IS defeat, yeah… damn right!
It is 100% a rhythm game and the way to approach it is rigid, but it also feels fair and very doable, at least up to this point. I haven’t encountered any fuckery yet. It’s still very early in the game so… Who knows.
Skill wise I’m nothing to write home about, so I feel that if I can do it, probably most can. I do attribute all my soulslike success to me being somewhat rythmically inclined, tho. So experiences may vary…( I also have never measured myself against a ““real”” rhythm game, those seem hard af, my hunch is that I probably woudn’t be that good. )
Game does guilt trip you about dying a lot. XD
Tap for spoiler
But aparently turns out it’s not the end of the world
