- Comment on Afterplay and the Push Toward a Steam for Retro Games: An Interview 1 week ago:
It looks nice, but seems to be just another subscription service, where yo know the price increases are coming (I haven’t checked how useful the free tier is). I’d much rather like this to be a self hostable service on your own NAS or something.

I liked the meta humor with sound files from super Mario world and mother 3 even going into boss fights.

That mod is so good. Of course not every map is going to blow your mind, but I haven’t yet found on I didn’t at least somewhat enjoy.
Only wish they had included some more actiony music, like doom 2016. They have some in their trailer, but ingame it’s mostly ambiance.

- Comment on Atelier Ryza Deluxe graphics/platform comparison 7 months ago:
Too bad those games don’t come to Xbox. I bought the first on PC, but it doesn’t look too great on my Steam deck docked and I don’t want to buy yet another console for a handful of games
- Comment on Remember episodic gaming? Former Telltale devs are bringing it back for the release of Dispatch, and there's a chance it might work this time | Eurogamer 9 months ago:
I remember how it never worked in the way devs intended it to - a way to create smaller games in scope, that kept development costs and times low.
It always seemed to spiral out of control after the first episode.

Just wanted to say thanks for your posts and seeing as it’s almost like a blog ask: is there a way to subscribe to these posts on lemmy in a RSS reader?
- Comment on How do you keep track of what games you have played over the years? 1 year ago:
www.backloggery.com might be the least modern looking game tracking site, but it’s the only one I found which gives you a yearly breakdown of your started and beat games, that’s way I use it.
