All good examples in comments, but in this case it’s Swedish. And if not by god then I’ll forsake it.

Swedish. I have family there so I visit a lot, but I’m not completely fluent.
- Comment on why 4 days ago:
One of my languages has three genders for living creatures, and two genders for items. Those genders are all different from each other: humans and other living beings are male/female/living neutral, things are item neutral/item neutral. An item neutral plural is also used for groups of living beings, but not for all groups of items.
One item neutral singular can in some instances be used for a living being regardless of their gender. The other item neutral would be insulting if used about living beings, and especially dehumanising to humans (wish someone had told me this sooner).
I have no idea when to use which item neutral. Locals keep correcting me or almost imperceptibly wincing when I get it wrong, so when I want to sound more fluent I just use the item plural for singulars as well - it seems less annoying for some reason.
Oh, and for one of the item neutrals, if you accidentally use the other item neutral it means the plural of the first one. Kill me now, lol.

Good to know! I’ll just not let any phones into any washing machines while traveling, to avoid grammatical confusion. I’ll wash my phone when I get home instead.

Laws of Physics. Also aliens. (Aliens created physics).
Ps. I’d also like to know the answer.
- Comment on What life hack helped you this year? 1 week ago:
I prep this by mixing dry lentils and dry rice in a box with a measuring cup on it.
Compared to oven ready meals it’s just the extra step of using the cup to add from the box once and from the tap twice. And you don’t even have to wait for the oven to heat up.

I prep this by mixing dry lentils and dry rice in a box with a measuring cup on it.
Pour mix from cup into pan once, pour water from cup into pan twice, add bouillon cube/stock. Turn stove on medium-low. Wait (take a shower or other 10-15 min activity, or experiment with additional spices into pan). Add veggies like frozen peas or spinach or corn, if feeling fancy. Turn off stove. Eat.

Easy. Predator on a predator.

I just pretend I need to get off at the next stop and make sure to get up when they’re looking so they can grab my seat. Then just walk to the other end of the cart, or to the door and look at the map only to then “realise” that this is not my stop after all and remain happily standing.
- Comment on what is the best fruit to leave in a fridge? 4 weeks ago:
If you want a variety of fruits included fridge unfriendly ones:
Could you keep a bunch of fruit at work instead of bringing one each day?
Or keep a picture of fruit in the fridge with your lunch and trade it for the fruit when you pack your bag so you don’t forget it?

I put it in the fridge to keep from overripening. Rarely buy underripe bananas.

- Comment on was this average bullying behavior? 2 months ago:
That’s definitely bullying behaviour. I don’t know exactly what you’re asking. Bullying can range from ignoring or talking behind someone’s back, to physical assault. They are not average experiences, especially being a repeated event, in normal friendships and relationships.
Several actions included in bullying are also criminal offenses, and needs to be taken way more seriously by the adult world - not minimised, labeled “bullying” and nothing more being done about it. If someone physically assaults someone else, there should always be a police report filed because then social services will be informed if the attacker is too young to be criminally responsible. Even if it just words and threats, or stealing or destroying someone else’s items.
- Comment on Should I continue with exercise if I didn't get enough sleep? 7 months ago:
This may sound silly, but it happens to me more often than not that I forget the simplest solution when I wake up from pain: Did you take pain relief medication and wait 30-60 min before giving up on sleep?
