- Comment on DAE name their characters by their official name? 1 week ago:
My self named characters in most games are called Max Power (from that episode of the Simpsons where Homer changes his name).

Makes sense. Thanks 😁

I have and use librewolf on my laptop. It feels a lot like Firefox, but acts like duckduckgo (by default it doesn’t save any site info or search history or anything). What do you like so much about it?

That was me for a long time. Now it’s guild wars 2.

I can’t imagine playing GW2 on a controller. I had to buy an MMO mouse to have more buttons to bind stuff to.

- Comment on Minecraft is removing code obfuscation in Java Edition 1 month ago:
I admit I also thought they were trying to basically replace java edition with bedrock, so I’m not sure. Just trying to make sense of this move without assuming that Microsoft is being nice about something

What proportion of those sales are for Java edition? This sounds like an attempt to make mods and therefore java edition into a more popular/appealing product. They know that most users are not going to do anything with source code.

Presumably animated first, with an unwanted live action remake if the animated version is successful.

FIFA, finally realising that soccer is fucking boring, experiments with different ball shapes, player numbers, and even number of dimensions, in a desperate attempt to make the sport watchable again.

That’s the right approach, for sure. My wife and I watched it, me having played the game, and her having tangentially seen me playing bits and pieces but basically knowing nothing about the plot. It was interesting comparing her reactions with mine, but I think I got more out of the show being able to compare to my memory of the game.

Easily one of the best games of all time, imho.

The part of the urethra that passes through the prostate is usually bent. As I said, I’m only guessing, but I think by angling the penis down and pushing the prostate forward from behind, it should make it less of a sharp angle for the scope to pass through, therefore reducing pain and risk of urethral injury.

I assume you’re making a joke, but just in case you weren’t, it is not.
- Comment on Caption this. 5 months ago:
No, it doesn’t. The surgeons I work with don’t do prostate manipulation when they insert the scopes, but my guess is that it’s a way to straighten out the urethra to assist with scope insertion in awake or lightly sedated patients (with local anaesthesia).

I’m obsessively playing guild wars 2 at the moment, and it is arguably similar, in that you don’t absolutely have to grind to enjoy the game. You can get a character to top level very quickly (a few days), and you can gear them up to play a lot of the end game content fairly quickly (exotic gear is about 5% weaker than the best gear in the game and significantly cheaper and easier to get. You don’t have to craft or collect resources to play and have a good time.
