  So, while this user (and their many reincarnations) has really impacted my enjoyment of Lemmy over the last couple of weeks, they do highlight one of the larger shortcomings of the platform. There’s nothing stopping an unstable, disturbed, bored person from grinding through accounts. A problem on any platform, for sure. Though folks like this do seem to filter out in the nose of larger projects.

  I don’t have a solution for this. But I’m nearly to the point of tearing down my own instance.

  I’m no psychologist, but I’d say there’s too much yet to lose. People aren’t going to blow up their lives over the slow boil until there’s no food left. It happened to the French when they marched for bread.
