I read this in his voice. I honestly kind of have a soft spot for him. He has a tough life.
- Comment on Hollow Knight: Silksong Sparks Debate About Difficulty and Boss Runbacks 14 hours ago:
I wouldn’t mind checkpoints before the boss even if it’s not a bench and more of a “retry” option.
But the annoyance of run backs raises the stakes of the fight a bit. Like, “Please let me win this time so I don’t have to do another run back.”
But I was annoyed at a particular fight that started without warning and I had not really explored the new area yet, so I didn’t have a chance to find a closer bench.

I’ve tried no mans sky a few times and couldn’t get into it.
I never grinded enough to get an anaconda, but I did make a few first discoveries while jumping around.
I think my ship is so far out that every time I play, I get bored trying to jump to anywhere relevant.

I got really into elite dangerous at one point. I never got a HOTAS though, but I’d considered it.
How is the game these days?
- Comment on have some standards 15 hours ago:
When I played this game, my wife was overhearing the dialog and asked me what movie I was watching.
She then later commented how annoying Cuno was.

Is this episode 9 that just aired? I haven’t watched the last 2 episode yet.

That is exactly what I though. There are benefits to this one for sure.
- Comment on How long do we have before PCs get locked bootloaders and corporations ban installation of "non-approved" software? (for context: Google is restricting sideloading worldwide on Android ETA 2027) 6 days ago:
I kind of expect this to happen with Apple’s rumored $600 macbook. Since they just updated ipadOS to run like a locked down version of macOS. I bet they will offer this cheap mac with the same locked down OS since it will have a “phone” processor in it.
They will say this was a compromise needed, but the majority of people will not care. After a few years, the macs that are open will get more and more expensive.
I’m guessing Windows will slowly start to move in thie direction, but I think they will try to push their remote computers thing to accomplish this.
I’m not sure about bootloaders being locked, I am guessing there will always be something that is unlocked and able to run linux though. It is needed for servers and stuff like that. In the worst case, someone will likely sell arm or risc-v powered boards that can be used to run linux.

Thanks! I don’t have that, but I access YouTube through a web browser on the iPhone with a plugin to give Picture in Picture without premium.

I thought oblivion got pretty repetitive at least the main quest did. Also, leveling was quite slow.
Near the end of the main quest, I just ran to the end of each tower just to get it over with.
I played the original instead of buying the remaster, so maybe there were some changes to the remaster to make it more interesting.

I think this tech would take off as it’s not as isolating as vr is.
I think we are just waiting on that tech to mature enough.
- Comment on Star Trek: Infection VR - Official Release Date Trailer | gamescom 2025 - IGN 2 weeks ago:
I agree, VR was trying to be the next smart phone hype, but they never panned out. There were too many unsolved problems with the tech.
Can’t wait until it’s just AR build into my normal glasses frames, then it will be a big deal.

** I am not a lawyer or have any legal training, but this is how I personally view the sign. Also, the example I give may be flawed, but I think it demonstrates the point well and can be applied to more accurate circumstances. **
Another example is that you committed a crime, but not the crime they are trying to charge you with.
For example,
You and a friend rob a store. You didn’t know it going into it but your friend brought a gun.
You get arrested and you both get charged with armed robbery.
You are not guilty of armed robbery since only your friend had a gun. They would have to charge you with a crime that was accurate.

I can see going on simple missions as part of their training in their final years.
I think that kind of happened in the kelvin movie and I forget exactly the plot, it something similar happened in prodigy.

In the show Andor, there is a character named “Kleaha” But until about halfway through season 2, I thought it was Princess Leaha. It was only that I saw the subtitle that wrote her name out that let me know it was a different person.
