  Just move the towel around randomly until Im halfway dry. Doesnt matter if there is some water left, it will dry soon enough.

  Second attempt, I removed lemmy.world from the blocklist and instead added some code to hide any instances with more than 30% of all active users.

  I posted about this in the admin chat on matrix, but you’re right the pull request was merged very quickly.

  The lemmyverse link is also a good idea, but users only see it after filling in their email and password. At that point it’s unlikely that they would cancel it and go to a different website.

  It might be possible, but someone first needs to work on it. For me its far down the list of priorities, considering that you can just make a new account, and put a link to the old account in the bio.

  Yhe purpose of rules and moderation is that everyone behaves well, eithoit personal insults etc. Not to decide what is true or false (thats what discussions are for).

  If its really misinformation like you say, it should be no problem to debunk it with actual arguments. And if you dont like the community, you can personally block it.

  You might be healthy, but you shouldnt think only about yourself. Pharma companies made record profits from vaccination programs (for which governments spent billions of euros of tax money). If people stop getting vaccinated, the profits will fall, and stock value will decrease. It could even be the trigger for an economic crisis.

  So you should definitely get more booster shots, and tell others to do the same. I hope this simple economic argument can convince some of those egoistic anti-vaxers.

  About Discord, what is actually the appeal of using it? The short time I used it was always a huge hassle, with millions of captchas on every login. Then you need to answer weird questionnaires to join communities. And in the end the content was pretty mediocre. Plus the format sucks, you cant really read old messages (like you could do in a forum or on Reddit/Lemmy). And for new messages, it goes way too fast once a few people are participating. Its like combining the worst aspects of a forum with the worst aspects of a chat.
