- Comment on How much of a risk is it for naturalized US Citizens (or those with Derivative Citizenship) to protest against the US government, compared to natural-born US Citizens? 2 weeks ago:
Protesting is the least useful form of collective action. Dont worry if you cant participate in it directly. Its not materially useful.
What you need to do is organize locally and hold your local reps to the fire. Ensure your local elections are run fairly, etc etc.
Help run info ops for naturalized citizens who are comfortable taking direct action. Gather information and make it publicly available. Could be as simple as locating all the charging stations in your state for example. Or dossiers on particularly disgusting ceos.
Plenty of things you can do without directly exposing yourself.

- Comment on I’m probably no longer center-left. If you could decide from my thinking, what political affiliation should I research to see if it fits me? 4 weeks ago:
You sound like you’re experiencing depression.
See a doctor/therapist. Shrooms pulled me out of similar feelings when I was experiencing what it sounds like you’re experiencing. But root causes can be different so you should see a specialist, and these kind of life situations are why politics are important being able to get the care people inevitably need.
Dont worry about the political labels, but as others have said empathy is the important bit. LGBT+ causes are just the latest example of people standing up and essentially saying ‘hey im here too, and i have different needs, would you mind shifting these few things around so I can live similarly to you?’ and being left wing is mostly just saying ‘sure bro’ and making those few shifts.
Often people treat politics as a zero sum game and it causes issues. Unfortunately the conservatives in the dem party dont understand the people that support them so they keep biting the hands that feed them.

You’d likely be correct. there are also a host of firearm laws at the federal level. the use of a fake id also has federal implications.
sadly the other commentor is just a twit who thinks everyone who dislikes the democrats and refuses to vote for either party is somehow more misinformed than they are and are to blame for their preferred candidates loss, and iirc that individual was also one of the losers carrying water defending israel’s genocide during the campaign. pretty disgusting all around. 🤷

- Comment on Torrent of Hate for Health Insurance Industry Follows C.E.O.’s Killing 3 months ago:
No, people keep expecting the democrats to actually support policies and do what is fucking necessary to protect they well being and ensure a strong middle class.
- democrats had the option to kill the fillibuster to get laws passed. they choose not to.
- democrats had the option it ignore the parliamentarian when it came to minimum wage increase.
- democrats had the option to pack the SCOTUS to resolve roe v wade. (see filibuster)
- democrats had the option to not support a genocidal nation.
- democrats had the option to not break strikes. they chose to break them.
need I go on? kindly fuck off. we have no interest in dealing with your nonsense.

Yes, that’s what you do when the effort required to fix something is more than the effort to replace it.

lol, I already took the red pill ages ago. I’m just done exploring the rabbit hole, either people wake up or they dont. I’ll pay just enough attention to know when i need to be the but otherwise meh. the DNC and its supporters are just not worth helping anymore.
- Comment on Would Kamala Harris have won the 2024 election if Latinos didn't shift hard to the right? 3 months ago:
You really dont. I’ve been expecting this for almost an entire year now. Only way to fix the dems is to toss them in the trash at this point.
- Comment on Would Kamala Harris have won the 2024 election if Latinos didn't shift hard to the right? 4 months ago:
not gonna happen. harris supporters still think genociding and massive wealth inequalities are okay. dems have lost my vote nationally until they start supporting labor and stop fucking warmongering.
