- Comment on Hello, Whats THE stupidest thing you have seen on the internet?:
It might be the things I've seen on 4chan back in the day. I remember right after that ISIS terrorist attack in Paris I saw a thread where someone shared they were thinking about strapping a bunch of fireworks to their chest, going to the candle vigil, tearing open their coat and yelling "allahu ackbar" as a prank. Later on I heard in the news about someone doing that exact thing. I found an article about it.
- Comment on this is what I suspected would happen:
It's about class. The North American concepts of left and right are meaningless abstractions.
- Comment on Antisemitic post and spam:
Once mods wake up and clean this up, we may have to think of a better solution so this can't happen again
- Comment on How do you feel about growing up (in age)?:
I think I am in an in between period. On the one hand, I've wanted to be older and become more mature and responsible. Graduate, get a job, get my own place to live, get married, start a family. I'm starting to get to the point though where my growing age feels less positive, because now it comes with regrets of things I haven't accomplished yet.
- Comment on Should genetic enhancement of intelligence be explored?:
No, because we don't understand all that well how DNA affects intelligence. And we don't know what side effects that could have, because these systems are all connected. You think you are modifying an intelligence gene, but then under the right conditions, this gene is expressed differently and is now producing prions. We can't even quantify intelligence in the first place. There are just too many risks.
- Comment on Mobilize the homeless:
This is why Marxists keep telling socialists to read theory and organize. I don't want to come down too hard on you, but to my knowledge a successful mass action of homeless people, part of the lumpenproletariat, has never been seen, let alone an actual revolution. This is why socialists organize around the workers. Workers can go on strike and the elite of society must eventually hear their demands. They have no interest when lumpen protest, because why would they? What can a mass action of the lumpenprol do even if it could happen?
Rightwingers don't mobilize lumpenprol because they know better
- Comment on Why so many commies in this app?:
Reddit kept giving my account bans and deleting subs I used, that's why I'm here. Alternative social media platforms tend to draw extremists from all ends of the political spectrum.
- Comment on How should we respond when random people tell us how china isn't socialist, but actually a state capitalist country?:
They are correct about China being state capitalism, they admit as much. But China also says they have socialism with Chinese characteristics. It can be both. Every society has a base and a superstructure.

Cool idea
- Comment on :
The baltics have a collective population smaller than Houston. The entire former USSR is almost 300 million people. They also are unique because they didn't join the USSR until after WW2, and they are the only ones in NATO and the EU. So this is an extreme case, and none of the other former soviet republics are anything like the baltics.
- Comment on :
I find myself vowing to make changes year round as well. But sometimes a tradition like this can be a good reminder. I was already planning to do more reading, so since I remembered resolutions are a thing, I guess that can be my resolution.
