- Comment on What are some game series you would like to see revived? And if possible, which entry should the new game follow from? 2 months ago:
Definitely this. It seems MVs with a leveling system either aren’t popular, or are too hard to balance. Plus there’s the giant inventory of weapons and gear that would probably be too time-consuming to create for most game devs.
- Comment on How can I get a screw like this out? 2 months ago:
Maybe try using a file to make flat sides on the outside of the head so you can use a wrench on it? Not sure if that would be better or worse than the Dremel/slot idea. (You would risk scratching the surface of the object it’s on.)

- Comment on What knot(s) should I use to secure this? 2 months ago:
I think I made an unclear comment, lol. I actually meant it in a good way. It looks like a strong knot that holds up until it’s time to take it apart, in which case it would be somewhar easier than a bowline.

Looks easier to undo than a bowline.
- Comment on How much salt water to kill a tree? 2 months ago:
Here’s a story for you: Poisoned trees gave a wealthy couple in Maine a killer ocean view. Residents wonder, at what cost?
TL;DR: it’s not worth it.

I just did a quick search, and found this:
Concurrent use of stimulants with antidepressants is a high-risk behavior and is medically contraindicated9 due to potential cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) enzyme inhibition and a resulting increase in serotonin levels.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4309786/
While it doesn’t specifically name Zoloft (Sertraline), it seems to boil down to how the body uses its own enzymes needed to metabolize drugs. You can end up getting pronounced effects from both drugs because they use/affect the same enzymes.

One could do some photogrammetry and then analyze the 3d mesh. It only requires taking multiple photos from different angles. Might even be able to get something going from online photos, provided you match the time of day for the entire set…

Oh shit, I’m 95% sure I saw one of these in the early 80s and have been wondering what it was ever since…

Ah, the fun of copying the Mandelbrot code from the book, running the program, and waiting only 16 hours for the image to finish. Fun times!

Thanks a lot for the recommendations! Lots of interesting things here, and I’ll be diving in very soon.
Mohamed Shawky goes by ‘chusss’ on YouTube. here’s one I like: m.youtube.com/watch?v=h-x0x41dsfM
Yeah, I’ve heard of Nightwish. Not my favorite, but last time I went looking I was trying to find pieces closer to Epica’s Omega album… and not even Epics older work was what I was looking for…

At least they provided this tidbit:
Engineers also discovered, as they plowed past the first 14,800 feet (4,511 meters), that the rock had much more porosity and permeability. That, paired with the extremely high temperatures, made the rock behave more like a plastic than a solid, rendering drilling virtually impossible.

Just going to point out that alcohol is literally a poison people drink to make them feel good.
It starts that way, but quickly turns on you. Pretty soon you’re pissed at everything for no good reason, you’re tired but have enough energy for angry outbursts, and your world just shrinks and shrinks along with your brain. Horrible drug. Maybe some people can handle having a drink regularly, but I sure can’t ':S

I do like symphonic metal, and that’s a great song… it gave me goosebumps. I’ll be sure to check out more of Blind Guardian’s work. Any other suggestions are welcome! Maybe stuff similar to Epica’s Omega album, and instrumental pieces similar to Essence of Datum, Mohamed Shawky, Rivers of Nihil, & Naxatras, if you’ve got the time :D

The Ys series ost, especially the PSP titles. Nice mix of metal and violin.
Hollow Night. The City of Tears track in particular.
Any covers made by Orchestral Fantasy on YouTube. He focuses mainly on classic 16-bit titles and pretty much nails each one.
