- Comment on Why do people see me as far older than 19 when I type the way I do sometimes?/Why do people think full stops are rude? 5 weeks ago:
To me, sentences ending in a period feel immutable, and without nuance, but sentences without a period feel incomplete, or up to change. Without periods it is almost a way to say, “this is what I think right now, but I might reconsider.” So, it’s not that periods are rude per-se, but it may appear that you’ve made up your mind and are closed off to interpretation. Sometimes I intentionally remove periods or turn it into an ellipsis for exactly that reason. It’s just way too easy to misinterpret people’s intentions through text for me not to type in a way I think reduces misinterpretation.
As for being associated with older people… anecdotally speaking, my co workers sound like they were taught that there is an immutable, proper way in the world, and so they express themself in that proper way. Nothing wrong with that really! Once I get a feel for their personality, I find it kind of endearing :)

- Comment on The words "diversity", "equity" and "inclusion" seem to be blocked from NIH website's search function 2 months ago:
My friend found/remembered an article from 2017, which is similar, but for the CDC. It doesn’t sound like it affected search though. archive.is/JLcc8
The forbidden words are “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “fetus,” “evidence-based” and “science-based.”
I tried searching the terms above on NIH, and none of them, except diversity, take you back to the home page. CDC search seems unaffected currently.

If they aren’t equal, there should be a number in between that separates them. Between 0.1 and 0.2 i can come up with 0.15. Between 0.1 and 0.15 is 0.125. You can keep going, but if the numbers are equal, there is nothing in between.
What number comes between 0.999… and 1?

Imagine they have an internal tool to check if the hash exists in their database, something like
"SELECT user FROM downloads WHERE hash = '" + hash + "';"
You set the pdf hash to be
1’; DROP TABLE books;–
they scan it, and it effectively deletes their entire business lmfaoo.Another idea might be to duplicate the PDF many times and insert bogus metadata for each. Then submit requests saying that you found an illegal distribution of the PDF. If their process isn’t automated it would waste a lot of time on their part to find the culprit Lol
I think it’s more interesting to think of how to weaponize their own hash rather than deleting it

My first impression is that it feels fake because of:
when kids our on him
our -> are
Come try are boy
are -> our
Maybe it depends on accent but “are” and “our” are homophones in my accent and if you spelled by sound you’d likely spell “our” as “are” …i cant help but feel like it’s intentionally increasing the mistake counter :(
