- Comment on Nintendo Suing U.S. Government Over Tariffs 1 day ago:
Are you arguing for Nintendo being as evil as the US government, or what is the point here.
- Comment on Nintendo Suing U.S. Government Over Tariffs 2 days ago:
Nintendo evil for locking down emulators, using it’s market power to smash small indie etc etc.
US evil for raping children, killing them, kills civilians, destroying millions of lives, bombing other countries, deporting families, stealing tax pater money etc etc.
Yeah, good comparison you idiot…

And they buy so many EV’s per capita, so it’s also an important one.

What-about-ism.
Why should people looking at social media addiction look at the education system?
In what world is it a choice between the two?

Forcing games to be playable offline is a child hood memory/dream come true.
I miss the times, and it’s insane it went away so fast.
- Comment on YouTube's long unskippable ads may have finally met their match 1 month ago:
Brazil and Japan is adopting the “side loading”, so it is happening, but slowly.
There’s also a few examples of this, that we dont hear about in the media as much, but there’s some food quality and plastic standards that spreads.
I also remember something about airplanes and your rights when flights are delayed and stuff, but I cant recall it specifically.
- Comment on YouTube's long unskippable ads may have finally met their match 1 month ago:
Not yet anyway, but it might have a ripple effect on other countries doing the same.
Just like EU consumer laws sometimes gets adopted by other countries a few years later.

I dont think you are in their target group then.
- Comment on Malaysia says it will ban social media for under-16s from next year 3 months ago:
If it was me, I would suggest that everything where you can post stuff to a feed is considered Social Media.
Direct messaging is not. But if they implement other features into the app, like stories, it’s Social Media again.

Seems like the new engine had so many problems that the old engine was actually better made.
They wouldnt have chosen this approach without good reason.

- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 3 months ago:
Steam Machine is also bigger. Small costs money if you want powerfull.
Also, it’s newer hardware.
I also think it will be priced at least a 100€ above the Deck, but I would also be willing to pay that for a console/living room computer.
- Comment on Square Enix says it wants generative AI to be doing 70% of its QA and debugging by the end of 2027 3 months ago:
Well, it’s not game development, but bugfixes and quality testing.
I dont know, but it does makes sense, when there’s still 30% work being done by human eyes. There will still be people checking everything through.
Even if they hit 50-50, they could put more money into the development.
The argument that they will just save the money only works as long as another company doesnt use it for game devs. Otherwise you naturally fall behind.

- Comment on 'A game, once sold, belongs to the customer': Prominent EU politician stands up for Stop Killing Games 7 months ago:
I know the option for buying movies exist. You can do it on Apple Store. You can download offline, but only into their own ecosystem.
That would be a case, where you are forced to let them download.
But it’s more realistic, that they just remove that option, than letting people download it out of their shop.

Nice. The movie industry must be shitting themselves if this goes through. They are next.
