Exactly. If want to stay connected to reality we should use historical analogies only. Remember when Maduro promised Venezuelans a better life, but life just got shitty instead. And instead of eating Nicolás Maduro they out out of trash bins.

And he did give them a better life. They ate him because it served the movie’s plot. Also wtf was mufasa doing to make all the land more sunny? Was it that whole circle of life thing where he gets to eat his subjects?

decicelsisus. It would only be 0.1kC when water is boiling. That’s not very fun.

But even with that margins are tight, so 99.5% of why your flight is expensive is that planes are not cheap to operate and fuel isn’t free. But we can pretend it’s all the other thing to maintain slave morality.

But on the plus side normal people can use air travel now.

But isn’t he still worth listening to if that particular message is interesting? All I am saying is that if I posted AOC to a right wing forum, even though they don’t like her, she would not be downvoted just because her face appeared. But it is so predictable of left wing forums because you have that blind think dynamic that someone can’t even be listened to if the group has calculated that they dislike them on even one issue. And it is selectively calculated. Biden has said stupid shit in an area or two, but has never been the subject of absolute thought embargo.
I’m just curious what your thoughts are about why that is? Why do the right and left have such different dynamics there? What makes it so someone gets the thought embargo and some don’t even though everyone has said some provably stupid shit at least once? I’m really trying to understand.

Lemmy’s blind think is strong. For the record I don’t support or dis-support RFK. My feelings toward him are relatively ambivalent. I just think it’s interesting that he’s about 40x smarter than anything the dems have been running but he still gets castigated as a complete idiot. Have you seen the rest of your lot?

The problem is even the ones that have those facilities aren’t applying. They feel completely burned on the whole thing.

It might not even need international funding through governments. With a permanently reoccurring event actual investment will come in.

Also how transparently published and reproduced was Pfizer’s vaccine trials, considering a judge had to force the contents released, yet it was science right away. You can’t have cake and eat too.

It’s the rule of modern engineering. You will always be served the worst possible product that can claim to have some utility. If it’s not on the edge of being useful someone didn’t engineer hard enough.

They think LGBT is benefited by having more visibility. In reality it puts them center stage for anti-LGBT rhetoric and the world is more antagonistic. In the 90s nobody cared about the gays.
