Once upon a time in Hollywood.
Closely followed by anything that’s self-jerking Hollywood’s ego. I’m looking at you too La La Land!

Belt CVTs - I’m right there with you, but take a look into the more modern geared CVTs such as Toyota e-CVT in their hybrids - I think Honda have a similar tech. It’s a planetary gear system that provides infinite gears without the rubber band feel that plagued belt CVTs and hella-reliable.

I’m a petrolhead at heart and would love more options for manuals but in lieu of that, a geared CVT is by far the next best transmission and 100x better than a traditional auto.
Even better, jump in one and take it for a drive - because there are gears, it feels more connected to the motor - almost manual-like response and no sluggish delay like a traditional auto.
You literally pick your revs by pushing the throttle more or less, they’re magic for hills or when the car is packed since you’re never waiting for revs to climb up into the power nor holding a speed because any faster and you have to change again which takes you out of the power again. If you want more power, you simply modulate that with the throttle and the revs rise instantly to accommodate.

“We’ve tried nothing (new) and we’re all out of ideas!”
I’m sure there are a thousands of film students out there with thousands of ideas for new movies. They can’t ALL be terrible ideas.

Can I assume by that comment that you’re also a self-made millionaire?
No? Oh, why are you so lazy? After all, it just requires hard work. There are over a thousand self-made millionaires in my small town alone. The media call us a “statistical anomaly” but they just don’t see how easy it is if you just put down your 9-5 and get to work.
/s
Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely believe that hard work can get you there but it is very, very uncommon. I work bloody hard, have a good paying job, no debt and investments but will only have enough for an ok retirement.
Friends with their own business who are more driven, work even harder and longer than I do and are absolutely better off, but they’ll never earn the level of money like this article suggests.
My issue is with the disingenuousness of the article. This sort of success requires a huge amount of work, a once in the lifetime (for most people) idea or market to kickstart and even then often still requires a bucket of 7-leaf clover levels of luck. But it’s sold by the media as others have detailed “if you just work harder…”

I used to get these regularly on my fingers and heel of my palm for years.
Once I changed soap and shampoo away from my wife’s fancy stuff to normal, basic stuff, it’s all come right.

Short Circuit 2 - Holding on for a hero.
Much more impactful than how it was used in Shrek 2.
Real stakes, life and death. Spoiler warning - clip spoils the climax of the movie…

That is literally what the first Xbox was. It’s internals was a custom mboard running a Celeron 700 and 3.5" HDD (can’t remember what the graphics was based on, maybe a GeForce MX?) with a customised Win2k OS.
All approx. It’s early and I can’t be bothered confirming those specs are 100% accurate :p
