Personally I don't like Tim Pool. Doesn't talk so much policy and is very petty and are all about word games and not arguments.
Got pretty trashed every time he debated Destiny TBH

Oh, I see. They've just recently reales some new federation updates as well

Definately. The rate of more users will be similar to how engaging it looks and seems in addition to extra commnication work making people aware of it.
But the developer has said that for now they don't want too many people to go for lotide before it's in a better state

Lemmy only works with other instances of the lemmyverse currently.

Relly nice to be here! Really exciting to follow this project, particurarly after losing all faith in the lemmy project for becoming a proper long term flagship forum solution for the fediverse.
I don't think their insane politics will work in the long run and probably tarnish their growth potential as well as their unprofessional behavior leaves much to be desired.
The lack of actual federation is also an issue.
Right now lotide looks like it got a lot of potential, although it's kind of offputting to a eneral audience. Probably needs to be cleaned up and polished visually. But that's more a front end thing and has more to do with hitide I guess heheh

Interesting with the forward party if it can gather people at the center. Could create a new political climate in the US

- Comment on State of Lotide? 3 years ago:
It might depend on the meaning of a lot. I think this kind of visual flare appeals to a small usergroup, but that can be fine as well.
But a flagship instance you might want to have the most inviting an inclusive branding and interface that you can while following the goals one wants t meet.

If we want more users we need to reach out an be seen. First step would be to create a mastodon that adverts about lotide.
Second would be to look at branding. IDK how large of an audience lotide is looking for but I think how it looks today can be a bit intimidating. So looking at some branding deciditions could be good too
