- Comment on Induction cooking - but what about woks? 2 months ago:
without creating intense hot spots that literally warp and destroy your pans
We’ve been using off-the-shelves induction stoves for about 10 years and never had this problem. I would definitely love to see a longer duration of comparison of the heatspots in traditional (non-induction) and induction cookware though.
You always get intense heat where the bottom of the pan makes contact and then the sides are hundreds of degrees cooler, which means your French omelettes stick to the sides of the pan and get ruined
Do you not have nonstick cookware (cast iron, carbon steel, etc)?

- Comment on How come zombies seem to have sharp teeth while the rest of their body is rotting away? Or is just fiction? 2 months ago:
their smell would cover hers
it’s funny how in later seasons, zombies lost all sense of smell, (probably because of ageing? but new zombies were the same I think)
The smell didn’t matter at all, if you just wore a dried up zombie skin head mask. Then you could be part of the herd. They could hide right next to a zombie herd passing through in the ditch. You could get really close to a zombie from behind.
Zombies basically just turned into extras in that series. Poor fellas got nerfed hard.

Mull already is part of a separate F-droid repo by divestOS developers. No need for yet another installer.
- Comment on Actors demand action over 'disgusting' video game sex scenes [BBC] 2 months ago:
Why do games even need actors to do rape scenes? I know games do motion capture and such but rape scenes? Just make 3D models and go wild.
Something’s definitely fishy.

- Comment on Europe is in danger of regulating its tech market out of existence 3 months ago:
The world as a whole should cut off US hegemony on tech, social media, and news out of existence.
Lesson to be learned from the last 2 decades is that we also should not let any other country (China or anyone else) hold so much power in shaping a one sided narrative.
Fediverse is a step in that direction. Hopefully it succeeds.
- Comment on Why does lemmy.ml use the "ML" country code for Mali? 4 months ago:
The .ml ccTLD was on a contract to a company called Freenom in the Netherlands until last year, then it went back to the Mali government. Freenom gave away domains for free until then. After the switch, the owners who didn’t outright buy it lost their domains.

- Comment on Is there any real physical proof that Jesus christ ever existed? 4 months ago:
I don’t feel compelled to argue an interpretation. The facts are well documented and their interpretations by experts available. What anyone chooses to do with these are of no real concern to me.
but then
It’s weird how many people in this thread are vaguely debating the validity of the historical research into this question when one person has posted a link to a well cited article on this very very heavily studied subject.
Well cited article aren’t proof of existenceof a man. Is spiderman real if enough people cite the comics? A group of influential people could gather and make their own circle of these myths and present it as a fact. And it isn’t fucking new.
chronicle.com/…/the-dark-world-of-citation-cartel…
Religions and all their influence could force a lot of heavily studied subject to be skewed for their benefit. Hell, there were studies that were treated as standard making sugar and alcohol heavily beneficial for human beings. And we’re talking about a person.

- Comment on Is it safe to use free movies sites on a phone, specifically iOS devices? 5 months ago:
Browser updates on iOS devices are tied to system updates and people put off a system update longer that an app update. So no, not as safe as OTA updates independent of the OS, as they are on every other god damn operating system.

I should start posting ads and sponsors as my signatures with every comment. This is totally not the start of something awful. It makes me happy, it’s free and doesn’t cost anyone else anything.
Next I’m gonna post an image ad and randomise it. Maybe code bots to upvote it to the top. Ayy, you’re on to something. 🤔
