Yes it would be an ideal starting point and can be picked up for cheap on most platforms

I’d think for something like a VN where you just need to literally press one button to proceed, i would think something like a IINE Gamebrick Controller or 8Bitdo Zero 2 would make more sense and come in at a much lower price point.

I bought direct from them, no issues with shipping; took maybe a week or so. This video recommends the S model:

Mobapad makes the best joycons IMO, have the Switch 1 ones and they are hall effect and feel tight and responsive

One of the most memorable VNs I ever read; can’t wait for the translation of Chaos;Head Love Chu Chu!

I agree with this take, was playing Gravity Circuit via GameNative on my Pixel 9 and my GameSir G8 Galileo. I am portably gaming with OLED and Hall Effect and it felt fantastic. If you primarily play lower spec indie games, its a no-brainer as far as i am concerned.

perhaps, looks like this title plus a bunch of other VNs are on sale rn on steam so might be a good excuse to look into the patch!

Thanks for the read - i am a huge SciADV fan (i’ve read all the VNs i can get my hands on!)
Despite the difference in storytelling from many of the games in the series, i really became attached to the characters in Robotics;Notes and found myself engrossed in their lives and individual histories. Only criticism i can give is that you really need a guide to progress the story.
Despite all this, i’ve heard such bad things about Robotics;Notes DaSH that i’ve been scared away from reading it so i never got around to it. Part of me was worried that after the highs of Robotics;Notes, DaSH might leave a bad taste in my mouth!

I really enjoyed this article and own a R36s myself which is used almost exclusively for postmaster. The variety of games available is mind blowing - I recall someone mentioning on a YT comment that their R36s has taken the place of a steam deck for them and even though that seems hard to believe, its the case for me as well. Nearly all my portable gaming I do is on my R36s playing a portmaster title.

My daughter is a bit older but loved Tinykin - its on sale for around $6 right now and is a great sandbox environment to play around in while you explore the various rooms with creatures that help you get to your next objective.
