Hi everyone, this is an older article of mine where I reviewed the amazing Robotics;Notes Elite Visual Novel! At the time, I was super new to both blogging and the Science Adventure series, but I still wanted to share my appreciation for such a wonderful game! I’m sharing this again as the site is undergoing a massive revamp of its UI, and my partner and I are also updating some older articles, namely this one! I’ve added many things I missed back then, and it’s nice how my love for this game never faded! If you decide to take the time to check it out, then thank you, and I really hope that you enjoy it!

Thanks for the read - i am a huge SciADV fan (i’ve read all the VNs i can get my hands on!)
Despite the difference in storytelling from many of the games in the series, i really became attached to the characters in Robotics;Notes and found myself engrossed in their lives and individual histories. Only criticism i can give is that you really need a guide to progress the story.
Despite all this, i’ve heard such bad things about Robotics;Notes DaSH that i’ve been scared away from reading it so i never got around to it. Part of me was worried that after the highs of Robotics;Notes, DaSH might leave a bad taste in my mouth!

Sorry for the late reply! I really loved the characters too, especially Akiho (yeah, the article gives that away pretty quickly lol)! And yes, you definitely need a guide, I really have no idea how that system works… I don’t usually mind checking a guide, but I guess that might be a problem for some people.
About Dash, when I tried it, I felt it clashed with how characters were portrayed in the prequel, but apparently, that might be due to an imprecise translation; you should definitely try it with the Committee of Zero patch, as that fixes the translation and consistency issues with the rest of the series. Personally, I’ve played most of the games without the patches, as they’re only on Steam, but I can see why people enjoy them! Maybe that will make you want to try Dash?

perhaps, looks like this title plus a bunch of other VNs are on sale rn on steam so might be a good excuse to look into the patch!
