I’d rather not use flatpack, but I really should figure out better sandboxing. Not just for games, but for supply chain attacks, etc.
It’s kind of nuts that a game has access to my browser profile and all sorts of other stuff in ~.

We might never reach singularity. I think our universe is a simulation built to study how it happened in base reality - or what kinds of singularities aliens build. The event itself is probably too expensive to render. Our universe will cut to black.
I feel a little bad dunking on a random guy, but this is very stupid
- Comment on Android is getting a big AI overhaul in 2026 2 weeks ago:
So, I’ll get the guaranteed highest price with no flexibility for reality, and this is an improvement?
It’s an improvement to the people who matter to Google, i.e. not you
You did sum up really well why these corporations might want their ‘agents’ automating our lives

I looked for info and didn’t find anything.
Obviously you could decode the code on the device that’s showing it, so why not also provide a link?
I have to assume that it’s because the mobile device must be one where they can check that you’re only running google approved software (play integrity or whatever it’s called these days, maybe the apple equivalent).

Unreal Tournament is an arena first-person shooter, with head-to-head multiplayer deathmatches being the primary focus of the game.
Those are two terrible examples to use for single player games.
My guess is what they really meant was ‘single-purchase’.

We’re just going to be demaking games incrementally as we scrounge older and older hardware for our mad max gaming PCs until we’re playing a text adventure version of Minecraft on a green screen terminal.

What constitutes proof? What kinds of questions can you answer with data? When do we consider a pattern of behavior to represent the existence of some entity?
Any recommended reading for someone who’s never formally studied philosophy?

- Comment on Battlefield 6 cheats day 1 of early access. Depite kernel level anti cheat, forced secure boot TPM 2.0 9 months ago:
It won’t boot though, because the keys to decrypt the system are stored in the TPM.
Sure you could replace the whole OS, but that’s going to be very obvious and won’t allow you access to the data.
