I’m right there with you. I absolutely hate Paradox’s DLC policy and I’m guessing they lose a ton of paying clients the moment they hit the store page and get a 200-500€ price tag for the full experience, or even over 100€ for just the best hits for a really old game. I know they have mouths to feed, but i really don’t like the way they do it and how they abuse their position of niche games nobody else makes. Nevertheless, even though you may choose not to purchase their expansions, you still have extremely healthy modding communities to carry you over.
Still, i wasn’t coming so much from the angle that it’s a smaller company providing better value than larger companies, rather showing to the OP that there are non multiplayer games that easily can provide over 500 hours of entertainment.

- Comment on In the latest Windows 11 preview build, Microsoft removed the “bypassnro” command, which let users skip signing into a Microsoft Account when installing Windows. 1 month ago:
I mean where will Microsoft stop with this ? So force people to create accounts, people create accounts, then remove them and only use local accounts or find some other loophole. Then what ? Lockdown windows usage until you have a Microsoft account with a real phone number, always connected and at least one up to date copy of birth certificate and passport ?
Isn’t the money from selling microsoft products enough ? Is the AI slop that nobody wants so expensive ?

Head of health insurance company thinks he should be paid more by pushing policies that make his shareholders more money, proving once more that health insurance companies are a fucking cancer on society that needs to be removed before it metastasizes and takes down the worker’s class.

Why rebuild something when you can repurpose it ?
In many places around the world old structures like warehouses, train stations, churches, convents, fire houses and other things are seen as an architectural opportunity to repurpose as housing, usually due to cost, but that lead to very unique dwellings that end up influencing other houses that are built from the ground up. Architects pounce at opportunities like this. The results are often superior to what a standard house built from the ground up would be.

Who thought that an industry that disregarded and actively attacked and insulted their reader base, who gained a fame for 10/10ing all games under the sun and folding to the most miniscule of complaints from pressure groups would end up not having readers at all ?
Let me play the tiniest violin concerto for you guys. Now roll over and let youtubers take your industry.

The survey fatigue is real. Everyone keeps begging for reviews nowadays. Even random things like public parking.
I grow resentment to any business begging for reviews. Hire a consultant and third party to auction your service, I’m not doing it for free anymore.
