- Comment on Can you really earn money with ai like chatgpt, videos, images, etc? or should i not even bother? 1 day ago:
There are two ways to make money, and both of them are fleeting: Creating new cutting edge AI services (EXPENSIVE) or consulting others who are asking the same questions you are (CHEAP, but requires the usual salesmanship and won’t be lucrative for long as others start to recognize these same truths).
If you create a capable LLM or other model that is more efficient, reliable and/or less expensive than others on the market, then maybe. But if you don’t already have the resources to do that (ie, if you plan to use an existing AI as a service), then no, you will simply be a consumer and not a producer.
That’s not to say you can’t find uses for it, but there’s nothing you can do with it that all the other users won’t be able to replicate without paying you.
- Comment on Why do people pronounce ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) like it's a word? 2 weeks ago:
Me too. And I say them on the World Wide Web, which is quicker to say than the WWW.
- Comment on What's the name of the early-mid 2000's song that sounds like Beyonce, starts with a "dun...dun... dun DUN!" guitar part, and the singer makes this "dabudabudabu" sound? 2 months ago:
And yet somebody nailed it. Apparently, it was dead on for that one person who knew the song.

I don’t know whether this is serious or comically self-aware, but either way, this is a great take.
Both my Gen-X self and my Gen-Alpha kid are amused, though neither of us knows what the other finds funny.

I burned two DVDs yesterday. First time in almost a decade, but it made me wonder why I don’t do it more often. I still have 98 blank DVDs on a spool purchased year ago.

I recently deleted my active, 16-year-old, account after being told I was inciting violence simply by commenting that a particular GOP senator had himself to blame for an issue he was trying to pin on others.
