Remember that storage of basics like food and water are required. If you want to see how not to play, check out RCE Timberborners episodes 🙃

It can either be chill or (in the caves) a stressful race against the clock to get down levels and fight (in the beginning) :D

I just started this. It was calm until the Forest started attacking lol

IMO, that picture is the memory; the polish sterilizes and removes part of the “it” that makes you remember, and creates an ever more idealized version of life. I have the same hangups with places staged for tourists to take pictures, because it removes you from the process of creation and leaves you with a bland “it looks nice” memory.
I know this is also completely up to the person in question using it.

The blinds on the side wall are either the skinniest I’ve ever seen or are blocked by the “TV”

Is it supposed to be TV behind them or a window? You decide!

The company’s latest product is a model that it says can pinpoint your location on a map to within a few centimeters, based on a handful of snapshots of the buildings or other landmarks in view.
Well that’s not necessarily terrifying at all lol

100% one of my favorites of all time. Newer Mario Kart iterations never quite hit that same vein of fun, though I could never figure out why. Probably something to do with it being a formative part of my childhood?
Also, my best racer was always Bowser: slow acceleration, but could make everyone spin out at a glancing blow was my way of winning 😂

It would be neat to record the mirror as it was going.
Ignoring physics of moving a mirror near the SoL, having a recording of it would both be cool to watch and would help confirm on a macro level the effects of speed-related dilation.

- Comment on Trump Opens Pristine Alaska Wilderness to Drilling in Long-Running Feud 7 months ago:
No one truly knows how much crude oil lies beneath the refuge, where only one exploratory well has ever been drilled, in the mid-1980s. But the U.S. Geological Survey has estimated, based on seismic data, that the coastal plain contains between 4.3 billion and 11.8 billion barrels of oil. (For context, the United States produced a record 4.6 billion barrels of oil in 2024.)
I could be missing something, but this sounds like exactly what you want to leave untapped, if its “only” 2ish years worth of oil?
