GOSH I’d like to see that be 2 times longer, and have some price-ranges.

Powerful message. “Brought to you by DHHS, National Cigarette Foundation, Department of Education, Cigs4Kidz, and Viewers Like You.”
Don’t remember any PSA’s like that back when they were doing atmospheric testing of atom bombs down in Nevada for weeks on end.

Always have a good time when I run into this channel. Gotta be scary for drummers, but I’m not, maybe that’s it!

Needs discussion. I’m more concerned for kids -never being able- to buy a home. “Owner-built”, no problem.

It’s my opinion that housing is so basic a need that no house should be allowed to use for a gambling chip. The ‘housing market’ needs to be broken.
Only individuals may purchase individual homes, and must agree to occupy them as their primary and only residences until they sell and vacate them. (Live-in landlords included, e.g. boarders.)
As part of the deal, they must first find another individual buyer (under the same terms) for their present home.
(Futher stipluations needed, but none that permit violation of the above principle. )

It took many generations to be able to put the truth out there like this. Over and over until people recognize that -openly- living the truth, in a world where lying is so easy, is the definition of courage.

Hmmm. I never learned all of this in high school. Hmmm. I wonder if that might have changed how I do stuff. But hey, I did learn how to make napkin holders and bird houses.
Oh well, I did eventually learn a lot of it. The slow and hard way.

- Comment on What If The United States Built A Transcontinental High Speed Rail Line? | Geography By Geoff (11:41) 5 months ago:
If it’s such a good idea, why aren’t the private RR companies getting together to ask that question? Questions like: who pays for it? what does ‘high speed mean’ (150mph average = about 20 hours), why transcontinenal (SF to NY is mostly EMPTY) and who’d benefit the most (not most of US).

It’s hard to be humble and eat a little crow without trying to explain a little. Being flustered doesn’t help you either when you’re trying to sum up. Happens.

Instant coffee, instant sex … not pleasant, but over with quik. Now - get back to work. Slacker.

Are there any celebrities that are confirmed to be using lemmy?
Sheesh I hope not. Aren’t their marketers doing a good enough job? Many celebs want to be treated like ordinary people (which they all are, aside from their cardboard cutouts) and the last thing they need is be mobbed by idolators.

Stop googling! Try your search ‘Donald trump Antichrist’ at duckduckgo. The link at my first DDG result pointed out this article: hartmannreport.com/…/is-donald-trump-the-antichri…
- Comment on YouTube blocks adblockers; will this be their downfall? [Louis Rossmann, 9:32] 8 months ago:
For years they all claimed “oh, we have to snoop unto you because we get to learn what you like and don’t like, and then we can show you ads for things you might value.”
Has anyone, anywhere, found a way to make ads more attractive to the individual viewer? NOPE. If they had, they’d have been demonstrating it. Was I ever more likely to buy something because of an ad on TV? Did I ever wonder where the yellow went? Never. I comparison-shopped to get the best value for the dollar.

- Comment on The Planet, some string and a bell. 8 months ago:
Good question. Many good answers. Put them aside and you still got a string made of multiple fibers that rub against each other. I’d guess that after a few hundred yards (depending on the string), the energy of your pull would be turned into heat by internal friction alone.
