But then you’re not the target audience of cinema anyways.
Says you. Not applicable to me.
- Comment on Trump says Hollywood 'dying' orders 100% tariff on non-US movies to save it 1 day ago:
Does he sit on the crapper and just spitball the most asinine ideas into reality? How is he going to regulate them outside the US when most of the CGI/animation work and houses are done overseas?

Doesn’t take 10k these days, TV’s are cheap, 5.1 surround systems are cheap, popcorn even cheaper.
- Comment on Is The White Lotus kinda the 21st century Fantasy Island ? 2 days ago:
Yes. WL is more gritty and holds a mirror up to expose the darker side of humanity. Fantasy Island was the same, usually a lesson was learned and it had a wrap-up finish, but it had a lighter tone (general TV.) WL, on the other hand, was more about exposing behaviors, characters, and leaving you with, ‘not everything is what it initially appears.’

I can’t wait for this! Also, is there a space spider in that box? I want a series on that as well.
- Comment on No. 1 on the Call Sheet: Bella Ramsey Takes Charge of ‘The Last of Us’ 2 days ago:
Pascal was this show. I have a fear it is going to turn into a soap opera drama like the Walking Dead after the second season.
- Comment on What are you watching and, what do you recommend this week? 2 days ago:
Started season 5 of ‘You’, the romantic Dexter knock-off, which I thought was wrapped years ago with season 4, nice surprise.

I have this in my que, good to know. Yes, I read the dubbed version misses the mark.
- Comment on Silo Season 3 Filming Finishes 2 days ago:
Agree, I made it through season 1, started season 2 and it put me to asleep and I never woke up.

Did anyone accidentally ask for this reboot?

Queen Latifa playing Queen Latifa as the Equalizer. Pass.
- Comment on TVLine’s Performers of the Week: Penn Badgley and Madeline Brewer 3 days ago:
I started this latest season last night, first episode. I swear, Pen Badgley never ages. What has been, like 7 or 8 years since the series started, and he looks the same.

Actor pretending theaters will be relevant in the future to justify their over-paid salaries. Next up, water is wet.

And thus enters the fine line of being a tyrant. I never vote for the two-party/uni-party system, but is quite amusing to see the outcomes destroy democracy from both sides. Amusing in the most terrifying way.
- Comment on Netflix's CEO says movie theaters are old news. Director Rian Johnson says his next movie belongs there anyway. 4 days ago:
A “better theater” is not like 45 minute drive there and back. I think I will pass on that.
People are social creatures, but they are also experience driven, and when you add up all the issues with the theaters, it is not a good experience. In the past, it was the ONLY experience, but that isn’t so any longer.
The current numbers show it is not turning around, quite the opposite. No signs of improving.
- Comment on First image of Zoe Saldaña as Neytiri in "Avatar: Fire and Ash" 4 days ago:
I saw this on reddit, commented and got torn apart by Avatar fans. I had no idea they had any! I will say it here, the series no one asked for and most can’t remember it until someone mentions it. That says everything about Avatar.
- Comment on Netflix's CEO says movie theaters are old news. Director Rian Johnson says his next movie belongs there anyway. 4 days ago:
I disagree, the people with better pay would use that extra cash and replicate the theater in their homes, and that is not hard to do even on a low budget these days. Why would I want to go into a theater with uncomfortable seating, over-priced and bad food (they need to update their offerings,) people on phones, chatting, yelling, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with a stranger, and not be able to pee without missing a portion of the movie?
- Comment on Netflix's CEO says movie theaters are old news. Director Rian Johnson says his next movie belongs there anyway. 4 days ago:
Exactly correct. They have been on a decline since the early 2000’s, and COVID sped up the decline by giving everyone a taste of watching movies at home.
- Comment on Netflix's CEO says movie theaters are old news. Director Rian Johnson says his next movie belongs there anyway. 4 days ago:
The problem is that the theaters aren’t using their last bit of cash on hand in updating their theaters and fixing issues that are causing low turnout. Instead, they are creating “value packages” which unless you want to be locked into some subscription model (I don’t) then there is no value. This will all come to a head next year when the largest theater company in the world has their notes come due from investors. Prediction is bankruptcy and closing of MANY theaters.
- Comment on Netflix's CEO says movie theaters are old news. Director Rian Johnson says his next movie belongs there anyway. 4 days ago:
Theaters are an outdated model. 1. they are too expensive, especially if a family is involved. 2. even if pricing wasn’t an issue, people are now (pushed by COVID) more comfortable (literally) in their own living room. I don’t see anything that is going to change this.

This goes for most of the streaming channels, added commercials, increased the prices, it is basically a split cableTV model.
- Comment on Michael Fishman addresses absence from The Conners finale after fan questions 1 week ago:
This sounds like Hollywood bullshit to me, a nice PR cover for both the actor who may want work again in the future, and the show-runners who are typical dirt-bags. He appeared in the Conner’s series, and his “arc” should have at least been finalized, or acknowledged. It is like they totally written him out, which they did.
- Comment on The 10 Best Mini Series You Can Finish in a Weekend 1 week ago:
I am one of the few comic book adaptation lovers that didn’t care for Watchmen the movie. Its biggest flaw was the desperate need for proper editing, like most of Snyder’s films. It is like the equivalent of extended word salad, only on film. And didn’t they release an extended version also? Yikes.
- Comment on Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos Says Movie Theater Model Is ‘Outdated’: ‘Most of the Country’ Cannot ‘Walk to a Multiplex’ 1 week ago:
No doubt. I have seen some recently released streaming movies and thought to myself, I would have been PISSED if I paid to see this crap in a theater. Here is looking at you Captain America Brave New World.
- Comment on The 10 Best Mini Series You Can Finish in a Weekend 1 week ago:
Oh really? All the seasons are different, btw, different plot, different actors for the most part. They kind of stand as their own.
- Comment on Apple TV+ is ‘worst marketer in the universe,’ says producer 1 week ago:
Well it is true. I would never find a lot of their series if I didn’t use a TV/Movie aggregator that covers all the releases, including Apple+.
Some of my favs of theirs; Slow Horses (really good) Hijack Manhunt Masters of the Air Sugar (if you like old detective noir style with a twist) Presumed Innocent The Last Thing He Told Me

All seasons of True Detective are good, and loved the Queen’s Gambit.
- Comment on ‘It feels empty’: is Hollywood film and TV production in a death spiral? 1 week ago:
Yes, plenty of recent articles about its demise. It is all consolidated now into a few big studios who don’t want to take risks, mainly because they see the writing on the wall for their future. Not to mention, a lot of other countries are producing Hollywood type shows and movies now, France for one example. Streaming, and eventually AI, which will put the last nail in their coffin, will totally transform what we know as “Hollywood” today into a relic, or a lesser producer, of the past.

- Comment on Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos Says Movie Theater Model Is ‘Outdated’: ‘Most of the Country’ Cannot ‘Walk to a Multiplex’ 1 week ago:
Ours was outdated, small seats, cramped. We would have to drive 45 minutes for a more “updated” one. No thanks, those days are gone, plus now it is costly.
