He is taking on the noble fight for consumers. Exposing them for the crooks they are.
- Comment on Making peace with liking very few games? 2 weeks ago:
Should be happy to have less things trying to convince you to spend money. Being able to enjoy a few games is an absolute financial win.
- Comment on I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games store 2 weeks ago:
I don’t have it installed. I claim through the website.
- Comment on I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games store 2 weeks ago:
Bethesda did that after shutting down their launcher.
- Comment on I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games store 2 weeks ago:
I claim but I don’t even have the launcher installed. If it wasn’t for through give away I’d completely forget about the place.
- Comment on I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games store 2 weeks ago:
I just save my money and play something else or buy something else. There’s more games than can be played that I’ve never felt like I was losing out by not buying a game from epic.

I like my arctic liquid freezer aio. Wanted a simple one.
- Comment on Why are $70 AAA games slashing prices so drastically? 3 weeks ago:
Price tier strategy. Get impatient people to pay $70 because they need to play ASAP. And then sales to get people who won’t pay $70. Pricing low permanently misses out on getting as much money from people who are willing to pay more throughout the year.
- Comment on Why are $70 AAA games slashing prices so drastically? 3 weeks ago:
$70 price is for people who are really impatient and then sales are to capture price sensitive people over time. Not unusual. It’s why I wasn’t bothered by the $70 retail price, since I knew I’d never have to pay it. It’s just a tax on the impatient.
- Comment on Guys, what did you buy during the Steam autumn sale? 3 weeks ago:
Oh that’s a good deal and I’ve been waiting years for it to get cheap! Time to finally play it.
- Comment on Valve has created a Steam Bluesky account 4 weeks ago:
Isn’t it more in the real world people don’t interact with close to the number of people they do on the internet, and they never encounter or avoid a lot of people which acts like a real world filter or blocklist?
Internet is like walking in a store and then being flooded with hearing the thoughts of everyone in the store like you’re experiencing a telepathic attack.
- Comment on Epic Games is officially cool with the Internet Archive preserving early Unreal games 4 weeks ago:
Winning move from Epic. Showing what should be done for abandoned games. Give it back to the people so it can continued to be enjoyed by the community that will continue to care for it.
- Comment on You Pay For It, We Own It - Sony's $7.9B Lawsuit 4 weeks ago:
Thankfully modders have made good progress of coming closer to emulating servers for it so people can play it offline.
Bad part is Ubisoft actually removed The Crew from some people’s Ubisoft account. Steam versions were safe ironically.

Crypto first came for GPUs then AI came for GPUs. And now tariffs are coming after everything. I don’t like these sequels.

- Comment on Currently downloading The Witcher 3 for the first time. Got any advice for me? 2 months ago:
Yeah, the first map area is small and kind of lifeless and I think like 3 hours long? Some don’t give a game longer than that, but the entire game took like 300 hours for me to finish so it was very small portion of a very long dense game.
- Comment on Currently downloading The Witcher 3 for the first time. Got any advice for me? 2 months ago:
First few hours can seem slow with the early map not being the most exciting, but if you make it through the huge world opens up and things start getting much more exciting.
When I played I printed out a side quest list to try to experience as much of the game a possible and checked off ones I completed. Side quests are amazing and better than the main quest as opposed to being the usual fetch quest with a weak or no story.
- Comment on Until Dawn's PS5 debut 28% weaker than Sony’s 2024 disaster Concord 2 months ago:
Companies can charge $70 for games and people will be it. Doesn’t mean enough people will rush out to buy it to actually be a good price. Too many options now, and not all games have the demand to have people pay whatever.
- Comment on Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare Coming to PC October 29 - Rockstar Games 2 months ago:
So excited about this. I’ve wished for years to be able to be able to play this game at 60 fps and hire. Months back I revisited this game on my PS3 to check out the multiplayer and the frames were rough.
- Comment on Until Dawn Remake Is Being Criticized For Looking "Way Worse" Than The Original 2 months ago:
I will treasure my PS4 copy. And it’s actually one of the few games where 30 fps isn’t a big deal due to fixed camera angles in the original.
- Comment on Let's discuss: Visual Novels 2 months ago:
I’ve played the Steins;Gate ones and DDLC. I like that it’s relaxing when I don’t feel like doing something super interactive and the branching paths when it comes to story is cool. I picked up Chaos;Head Noah which I haven’t started yet but look forward to getting into the other visual novels in to SciADV series.
Steam Deck has been how I’ve read them, and it’s been great with the suspend feature making it book like in getting into it and out of it convenient.

Hopefully I’ll get to finally play Gears of War 2.
- Comment on Ubisoft Says That XDefiant Has Fallen Behind Expectations 2 months ago:
It was enough to make me too lazy to bother even when the hype was there. Now it seems even the community that plays/played it is negative on it so even less likely to bother with Ubisoft launcher for it than at launch. I have UPlay installed too, but I don’t even know if anyone in my friend list from Steam was playing it compared to other games that they are shown playing.

Even general desktop use is much more fluid like the mouse cursor, scrolling, and moving windows. I immediately notice if a monitor is running at 60 hz.

PS5 has been the generation of PS4 remasters/remakes. PS5 might as well be the PS4 Pro Pro and the PS5 Pro the PS4 Pro Pro Pro.
- Comment on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a Russian game by Saber Interactive. Should gamers care if they care about Ukraine? 2 months ago:
State of Fifa and NBA games is depressing. Even the annual release for roster updates wasn’t something I liked, but it being full on freemium casino at annual full price is why I stopped getting sports games years ago. Left too bad a taste to get ripped off like that.
- Comment on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a Russian game by Saber Interactive. Should gamers care if they care about Ukraine? 2 months ago:
I think it’s better to just admit someone doesn’t care and they want to consume than trying to creating some moral loopholes for why it is excusable for a product they really want.
It’s like piracy. Some try so hard to morally justify it. Others just admit I want it for free. In the end we just want to consume. I sure do. I want my product.
- Comment on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a Russian game by Saber Interactive. Should gamers care if they care about Ukraine? 2 months ago:
If someone is conflicted then best is to wait for a steep sale, bundle, or giveaway so it’s a decreased cut. Either way it’s a win win for the wallet and I don’t most people have trouble finding time to finish games and a backlog that keeps growing than having no games to play.
- Comment on God of War Ragnarök - PC Launch Trailer 2 months ago:
I hope some mods come out that allows it to be skippable for single player games.
