I looked up birchwood. I don’t think they have them around here but we have bubba burgers which are also pretty good in their own way. far from smash burgers as they are cooked frozen and already formed though.
- Comment on Hubris 3 weeks ago:
do you do them outside to get the high heat and smoke taken care of? griddle? cast iron pan? I’m just saying the best burgers I’ve ever had were an inch thick and raw in the middle and that’s hard to forget. damn I want a burger now. I’d happily try yours. depending on how old you are you may have never had a “danger” burger. they kinda went away in the late 90s with mad cow.
- Comment on Hubris 3 weeks ago:
I just don’t understand smash burgers. I want my burgers moist and dripping down my mouth.souvide and sat or sear a chuck and grind if your super worried about food safety. I haven’t done either but they should’ve good. full disclosure, I’m writing this from the a hitter and there have been many more times today.

my goal isn’t about ignoring the super rich. it was more about spending one day, Xmas day, thinking more about the poor.
- Comment on Saint Luigi 3 weeks ago:
I understand that. the Bible makes no such exceptions and probably couldn’t imagine what we have now. we should help who we can. I know about the disparity. my only point is that everyone here on lemmy is likely above the world median but acts like they are paupers because they compare themselves to elon musk. I hear Oxfam does good work.
- Comment on Saint Luigi 3 weeks ago:
I mean it’s true. Nothing you ever do will matter.
- Comment on Saint Luigi 3 weeks ago:
No it’s not. Some dude is quoting the Bible. So no basis in reality. The quote generally talks about giving all your stuff to the poor and being a boon to humanity instead of keeping things for yourself, but I point out that people here have more than most in this world and I’m wrong?
- Comment on Saint Luigi 3 weeks ago:
If you’re on lemmy, you’re probably rich. Like worldwide rich.

It just doesn’t seem like full genocide yet. Genocide light? You may be proved right but I just haven’t seen it. I’m not there though and I’m not smart. There’s a difference between lining everyone up and killing them and starving them while doing military stuff. You may say there isnt a difference, but those are different things to me. Please don’t get me wrong I think what is going on, seemingly for political reasons, is very wrong and bad. But genocide is about the worst so it’s hard be that bad.
Bring on the downvotes.
